all my submissions to Itunes are up
It is not for profit, free podcasts to listen to -- you can go to itunes or my apple website which I have posted and just listen to me--it is not made by a corporation, just my lap top with lots of unairbrushed mistakes but even more heart and soul and all about the East Village, fictional short stories and poems, most in response to 9-11 and the community crushing development -- the tsunami that came post 9-11 that made the East Village, Bowery and Lower East Side in a bad xerox of mid-town, mega dormed to death and filled with mega retail chains you can find in anywhere, USA.
http://web.mac.com/suzannahbtroy/Site/About_Me.html click on podcast for the list if you want to skip itunes.
"Tompkins" the 2 poems also has my thoughts on the gentrification-- it is all there.
Thanks for reading and for those that go there....thanks for listening too!!!!!!!!
big hugs and love to those that support my art -- and when I am too tired and too weary without ventilation I write -- writing is my art too.
I am just learning so this was made from a very tired beginner's mind, very passionate heart and soul, all fiction yet real. I have never done drugs but I think I have over dosed on stress and trauma ; it has taken a toll of me.
I am grateful to my teachers and so excited to learn. I have dealt with so much rejection -- it is a blast to be on itunes with out The New Yorker's support...if I got it I would have dropped dead from shock anyway. I don't have children so this is a nice father day gift for me...Glad to be with Dad but sad I don't have kids celebrating these holidays -- never been mainstream, always an outsider so this is a nice surprise my submissions are all up. The Going, a 9-11 fictional story dedicated to the NYPD especially the detectives, Chopping the Street -- where motorcycles and wall street meet really about white collar crime, Murderville East Village -- murder a metaphor for the destruction of our neighborhood but community members continue to vanish along with the historic buildings, 2 poems "Tompkins" and a poem "Lotus healing from trauma".
