Suzannah's Muse for her documentary remains in hosptial

I hope to visit him in the hospital tomorrow and start my goal to make a documentary about his journey and his drive to activism and to ask questions.

Tomorrow if all goes according to plan -- I will post my first YouTube with him that will end up in a documentary -- I promise unconventional because it is me Suzannah B. Troy, I refuse to go to film school, I am filming part on my IPhone and the story needs to be told NOW so I will be posting to YouTube as part of the process of the story telling documentary in the "right here and now".... Speaking of heartbreak, I noted a visual reminder of violence towards women of the worst kind. Greenwich Village Block Association News has it's paper in the 6th Precinct and there was a piece on the Adrienne Shelly Memorial Garden Dedication -- Abingdon Square.

So many women, me included know what it is like to be on the receiving end of violence starting with verbal harassment. The stats are too high world wide and NYC re: the worst case scenario -- the ultimate silence. I believe Adrienne Shelly simply asked for some peace and quiet and when she threatened to call the police she was murdered. She did not know her attacker. Tina Negron did.

My muse, the subject of my first documentary I am starting is in the hospital. We had a date for our first meeting at City Hall to talk NYC politics.

I will keep you posted. I am going to start my documentary on my IPhone because I want to be part of a new wave that tells an important story using a video camera on my phone plus an inexpensive video camera and Final Cut Pro Express (200 dollars at Apple) and do all of it myself.

In response to your email below:

I am a gay rent stabilized tenant in NYC who is being harassed out of my home with the help of Speaker Quinn. I have all the evidence. I have never done anything wrong and always paid my rent on time despite being disabled and on a tight budget. I have fought all the way to the Court of Appeals where the seven judges all voted against me and fined me $4,300 for court costs of the Landlord. The NYState Court of Appeals made an innocent disabled person homeless and fined $4300 for fighting the corruption.

Quinn proclaimed not one tenant will be lost in her Speech to the West Side Tenants at Fordham Univ. The tenants in my building went to her for help and because she refused they gave up and lost their homes taking a buyout they didn't want. I told Quinn in person at Harmony House when she spoke about the Westside rail yards. She promised to help in front of the crowd. She had an aide take my number and said they would call the next day. No one did. When I called them they gave me the run around.

I went to a hearing about the DOB and told of the corruption. I was rushed off camera and promised help by Quinn's special assistant Josh Loving Aaronson. I asked if he really would help and he swore to me he would. He did nothing. When I called Quinn's office I got the run around.

We had a meeting at Quinn's office after my Landlord was found guilty of harassment in the building next door. It was our second meeting with ADA Kaufman from Manhattan District Attorney's office. The Landlord had removed the deadbolt lock from one of the tenants at 3:00AM in the morning. The ADA Kaufman said he would start a case against the Landlord and told me to get all my harassing emails together which I did. It was very harassing and took over ten hours. When I got back to ADA Kaufman he didn't return my calls or my emails. Quinn's office I got the run around.

Tom Duane had his picture taken in front of my building citing the city agencies responsible for removing tenants illegally. After Duane had a meeting with the Landlord and stopped his help.

All the tenant activists know about Quinn selling out to the Landlords. Your support of her diminishes all gay people and HRC.

Dear Mr. Hayes:

Given Christine Quinn's appalling record on LGBT issues since becoming Speaker in 2006, why would Humane Rights Campaign invite her to speak to the community on this topic?

Is Christine Quinn going to address the fact that she was virtually silent when middle-aged gay men in Chelsea were being falsely arrested for prostitution? She only called a meeting when the victims threatened to hold a protest at the Mayor's house. And she didn't even bother to show up. Why didn't she help? It was more politically expedient for her to ignore the gay victims than to speak out against the NYPD's vice squad. This was an alarming weak response from someone who is gay, former head of the Anti-Violence Project and Speaker of the City Council.

Is Christine Quinn going to explain why she rubber stamped an NYPD rule (with no public debate) making it illegal for groups of 50 or more to assemble in public without a permit? Freedom on assembly is vitally important to the LGBT community and is a constitutional right that helped put her into power in the first place.

Did you know that not even one LGBT bill has been introduced at City Hall since Quinn became Speaker?

As you will see in the fact sheet below created by the NY Association for Gender Rights Advocacy, Christine Quinn has turned her back on the LGBT community time and again to advance her political career, which is one of the reasons why many of us have and will continue to protest Quinn at her public appearances.

At her fundraisers where she has been met with protests, Quinn has acknowledged that she has made mistakes and has said she is glad she can always rely on the gay community for support. Based on her slim victory in the recent Democratic primary, her support in the LGBT community is quickly eroding.

Banned from YouTubeland and how I got my work returned with an apology from Google

Imagine one day you open up the door to the studio were all the paintings you have ever worked on are stored and they’re gone. There’s nothing but empty walls and a note from the landlord saying “I’ve closed you out.”

I don’t have to imagine.

YouTube did it to me. One minute my collection of 334 videos, the product of years of activism and art, were available for any and all to see, to agree with or disagree with or to ignore.

But then, without any warning, without even the courtesy of an email, swoosh-they’re gone.

Here’s what happened. Blogger Queen’s Crap had posted a video of mine about David Yassky’s antics (that’s another story) and the hits just took off. So I went to check the stats on my iPhone and-poof-nothing except a little corporate non-speak saying-without any explanation-that I had violated their terms and my account was suspended. Actually every blank space where I had a video had the same non-speak. I felt ill, shocked and like I had been violated.

Then the questions started to come: Which terms had I violated? How had I violated them? Only YouTube knew and it wasn’t telling. Google, YouTube’s parent, has a motto: don’t be evil. That doesn’t sound too hard. How about a new motto: just be fair. Why can’t YouTube have given me a little notice, an explanation and a chance to respond? That’s all.

Sure, they don’t have to treat me like that; I checked with Norman Siegel, famed civil rights attorney and friend, and he said because YouTube is private they don’t owe me free speech. Norman Siegel also pointed out to me that YouTube gives people a soapbox via the Internet to speak up. He contacted YouTube, actually Google's legal department immediately and fired off a letter.

Speaking of free speech, did I mention most of my videos are about the insanely corrupt politics that are sinking New York, my home city, under a tsunami of debt. as well as a tsunami of community crushing development ala the Bloomberg administration? My very first YouTube went after King Mike Bloomberg, who doesn't break the law, the little emperor of NYC just changes them.

Did my getting shut down have anything to do with my message? Who knows? Only YouTube knows and they aren’t saying.

Clayton Patterson pointed out that YouTube removed my work from every website and blog that had posted my work as well , with no notice. People were very upset. I asked people to write letters to YouTube on my behalf express their outrage which they did and I am grateful.

Clayton also compared what happened to me to people with Amazon and Kindle resulting in lawsuits because again with no notice books were removed.

There is a happy ending-sort of. After Norman helped me contact both YouTube’s and Google’s legal departments, someone must have looked into what happened and started thinking about what this kind of arbitrary behavior might mean to YouTube’s reputation.

So I get a letter of apology from some YouTube gentleman with a complete non-explanation of why they suspended my account; a “technical error.”

I think YouTube’s error was they tried to silence an experienced activist who happens to have Norman Siegel and plenty of others in her corner. And so they blinked-this time.

YouTube and Google: it’s time to live up to a higher standard; if you’re going to give me a soapbox great, but don’t kick it out from under me without warning and without a reason.

And when you do act badly how about a real explanation instead of this “technical error” crap? I don’t think some geek in a server farm stumbled and hit the delete key on my site. What really happened?

Marlene and Charles Tompkins

Spoke with Marlene yesterday in Tompkins. She was with her friend she calls her husband. He was drinking in the early hours and I am sure she was going to join him. She told me her side of the story about being arrested and she said she is going to detox. Detox she told me was her idea. It is sad.

Just saw Charles...he is even in far worse shape and he had many hospital bracelets around his wrists which is a common adornment of people that struggle with homelessness and addiction. He is a sweet and gentle soul. So sad. He had some soft casts with booties and I bent over and tied the shoe laces on the soft booties.

Heart breaking.

Eddie B. Alicea and Suzannah B. Troy meet at film class - we both want to make documentaries!

Eddie is a Viet Nam Vet, who through twists and turns ended up in a homeless shelter in San Francisco's tenderloin district. He describes "tenderloin district" as old 8th Avenue and 48th Street where all the wild and woolly "////" happened. We met in a free class at Apple and we both have the same goal and common consciousness -- to make documentaries, mine with a political focus that focuses on the people of NYC and Eddie's with the affects of the political peoples decisions that create institutional injustices.

He has photo of Flop Houses from the Bowery, 1970's which are black and white as if the photos themselves almost stanch the stark loneliness. He has many street and subway shots from the 1980's. I am sorry to tell you Alfredo's Mom passed away. Condolences to his family. Alfredo told me she did a lot of good. I am not surprised based on her son's and Carmen's achievements with the garden and now of course Kate Temple-West has added her powerful contributions as well.

So I am sorry for his loss and I look forward to handing him the letter from DOT. Alfredo was the one that brought the need for speed bumps for the two schools that are right by the Children's Magical Garden as well. He spoke so passionately at Community Board 3 meetings and there was zero response and later when I got notice of signage changes to enhance safety and showed to a public member of CB3, I was told disdainfully, "You will never get speed bumps.".

I had Alfredo draw me a map with the streets and where the speed bumps should go. I called DOT and learned what info I need to get the speed bumps and other than asking the community board, I did everything they told me and more.

I can't wait to celebrate in person and I need to make copies of the letters to hand in to the principals of Anna Silver School and PS25.

Someone told me to read this piece because the author's reference to a "tsunami of expenditures" sounded like my words. I have been saying for years Bloomberg pushed a tsunami of community crushing development. My first YouTube, "Mayor Bloomberg King of New York was last year in response to the fiasco with term limits. I also painted a portrait of Mike with a small grin and an oversized crown with red, white and blue gems and transformed the portrait in to a political poster asking "Is democracy for sale? No Third Term". Bloomberg is going to win and his punishment for denying us a referendum is the third term. I am glad Fred Siegel is not dazzled by Bloomberg and his wealth. On my poster above Mike Bloomberg's shoulders, it says "Principum Amicitias!". I borrowed these words from the newly discovered Shakespeare portrait. Many New York voters may not know the translation but they share the feeling. Mike will win but I predict with the lowest amount of votes and put that in context of the record amount of money he spent. Thanks for publishing this book review. Siegel paints an accurate portrait.

Am I being harassed by The Villager in directly again?

Azi Paybarah wrote an article on me and there are some interesting comments but sadly they are all anonymous and someone even posted an email that looks like it is -- gee me posting it SBT ( I hear Lincoln Anderson refers to me this way SBT) but folks I did not post that. If I wasn't being harassed on Azi's blog I wouldn't be bring this up again.

That good news is it further exposes and underscores my point.

They are not rocket scientists either because the NYPD did follow up and if I sue the Coop that means I sue the good people that did stand up for me and gee, there were some good folks that did. Not a rock scientist goes on to celebrate me getting my just desserts being banned from YouTube but gee, this "good citizen" did not have the capacity to understand right from wrong and was in blame the victim mode because YOUTUBE/GOOGLE APOLOGIZED TO ME.

Note: There is a lot I could say about where I lived but I won't at this time. The one thing I can say without harming good people is that there was a parking lot in the back and rather than it be cooperative--a small select group had parking based on seniority of list. When St. Ann's was being torn down by NYU, NYU paid these individuals a generous sum to park their cars else where. I won't comment on this or anything else regarding my ex-home of 20 years where there has been a mass exodus as well. I contributed big time helping my neighbors and even got street signs that say no honking -- 2 and more.
I do not go anywhere near my ex-home of 20 years and that speaks volumes.

When you can read from anonymous cyber stalkers that I believe are associated with The Villager is they want to dump on me.

In case any of this become a legal matter, I have nothing else to say in response to these commentors except to say the laws have changed and nothing is anonymous any more.


I don't want to talk about any of this and that includes the emails coming from The Villager and friends and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why I am not going to respond anymore.

I broke the news that NYU and The Villager turned away the press including NY1 and senior citizens patiently standing on line who gee whiz, happen not to be supporters of Christine Quinn.

Note: I don't take harassment lightly and I do contact the NYPD on harassment whether is it physical or on the internet. I did contact the NYPD and mailed copies of the email and it involves Lincoln Anderson. I do not want any contact with him and I made that clear.

Suzannah B. Troy cleans up a dead rat by kids in Tompkins today and other news

Children were working on their projects in Tompkins Square Park and they and their teacher yelled out to me to prevent me from stepping on a dead rat in the walk way. The people cleaning up the park didn't want to deal with a dead rat so I scooped it up with equipment borrowed from the parks dept. to the applauds of children and kids in the park.

It was awful to see children working on their projects by a dead rat....

Dear Scott: Based on the horrifying forms of harassment including one member I believe that took on many different identities, changed ages and genders, including taking my own, Suzannahartistcensors and Bloombergforlife it is hard for me to believe that being reported as spam would remove my entire account and ban me without any notice.

I am pleased that my account says I am in good standing. I have done so much good for my community and been acknowledge for helping Giuseppie Logan, homeless and thought dead, very much like "The Soloist". I felt every YouTube is a short film and so many people were outraged. They have my YouTubes posted on blogs and websites around the world. One film maker I interviewed told me he felt Youtube reached in to a website on him where a YouTube interview of mine was posted and just took the YouTube away with out any notice or explanation.

I am in shock.

Just stunned so it is hard for me to believe that this was because of spam but thank you for your response.

There was no explanation when the entire body of my work was pulled and none when my work was just returned now.

Clayton Patterson pointed out that YouTube removed my work, my history, entire record.

I have been pointing out my free speech and youtube to point out Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn broke the law -- actually they didn't break the law, they changed the law.

Why no warning....why taken down all the YouTubes. YouTube took down my archive, my record my history which is truly frightening.

Clayton Patterson pointed out this not only affects me but globally the bigger picture about freedom of speech and censorship.

There was no notice and thousands of people has link and or posted to my YouTubes. I helped many people including Giuseppie Logan who now is going to record new music and his old label is going to re-release his music before he crashed in burned in the 1960's and people assumed he was dead until my YouTube.

I did nothing wrong and YouTube censored me, cut me off and everyone that was linked to me with no notice. Many felt the videos posted on their blogs and websites were as much their's as mine and they are gone with no notice, warning and along with it my archive.

How many YouTubes have I made about the subways being in awful shape and NYU and Cooper Union supersize with zero respect and concern for our safety by Union Square and Astor Place.

To date the illegal air sale by the USPS - illegal because the USPS never notified the State of NY when selling air over St. Ann's -- 120 East 12th Street -- to NYU -- and the State never examined is this in the best interest of our community, safety concerns, environmental concerns and I would have hoped the dilapidated subway at Union Square as a concern as well since NYU sets the record for weighing heaviest on our dilapidated infrastructure with reckless high speed builds of mega dorms because NYU can't cram students into mega dorms fast enough and all are dangerously and disrespectfully out of scale with the neighborhood and they give nothing back. At least Zeckendorf gave the MTA an escalator not that it ever works.

The city is a mess thanks to Bloomberg's reckless tsunami of community crushing development so much like what brought the collapse of Wall Street -- the speed of greed....

Isabella Rossellini Green Porno talk about her movie shorts and book GREEN PORNO

The photo is lousy and that is on purpose....APPLE -- if Apple was my boyfriend I would describe Apple as the smartest stupid boyfriend I ever dated. They told us not to take photos. There were men and women with cameras so powerful you would think they were shooting animals on a safari so what harm could a photo like this do and in fact a photo would help promote her movie shorts and book. How stupid is "Apple"? They should encourage us to take photos and good ones on our little phones which can't compete with the big cameras more like uzzi machine guns of the photo world.

Isabella looks very beautiful and natural....real. Apple showed two short clips from Green Porno and again Rossellini's realness, her artistic self shined with honesty, a kind of purity, humor, frank talk about sex but only from an anchovy's perspective, tee hee, and sadly how man's over consumption has greatly harmed the sea and the creatures that live in it.

Rossellini does make you laugh. There is no way you can feel sad for long but her short entertaining == art movies -- 2 minutes long will educate you and hopefully inspire you to be a little better citizen -- consumer on the planet. It is clear to me cats and dogs feel, have memories and dream.

The NYU buses were parked along Broadway - one drove by almost completely empty and it is a waste, clogs traffic and is plain wrong. Park on your private property, NYU, you own enough of it, even use the term community facility to supersize exploit and exclude the community. Andree Bejjani was raped or attempted rape before murdered - Derek Praileau caught. DNA leads to match in serial and capture of serial rapist

I am sure if the rapist/murderer of Andree Bejjani was prevented and Derrick Praileau, the accused predator, was instead accused of harassment, he would have thrown ever excuse in the book from she was rich, she harassed me, she wanted me, etc. but Andree Bejjani joins the ranks of many other women in NYC, too many here and globally that will never have a voice. The MTA workers immediately called for help but no one answered. I finally walked to a gate and put my phone through the bars to get a signal and called 911. I said it has been at least 10 minutes, MTA workers later told me 20 minutes and the guy is unconscious, his only movements projectile vomiting....we were stuck. The MTA workers will not move him for fear of law suits.

I did meet a mathematical genius who played a role in the equation only in the fact that he was sitting next to him when the man's head came to rest on him. He pushed him off of him when the projectile vomiting started and than continued for a very long time while the man remained mostly unconscious.

I think the mathematical genius is related to the family that owns that nytimes and he was quite a character...I enjoyed the intellectual fellows company but the underground drama made me think of Pelham 123 -- the original movie -- the response in real life was so painfully slow --- for those who have seen the original -- time is a factor in the film.
