"Let us dare to read, think, speak and write." - John Adams, 1765
Watch tv, Mike Bloomberg's commercials (pretend he is telling the truth instead of using your eyes and how much did your city council members help to stop the tsunami community crushing development Bloomberg pushed -- the ubiquitous empty store fronts...., watch tv, play video games.... do anything but pay attention, yup, times have changed.
We even have city council members like James Oddo quoting tv shows when he talks about term limits as in flushing democracy down the toilet.
Found the John Adams quote posted on Queens Crap! Thanks Queens Crap!
My poem "Buy Town Stuy Town" Bye buy, Stuy Town, affordable housing an oxymoron....
ends with a t-shirt -- "I Love NY, I just can't afford NY" t shirt...
I wrote that before John the church murder Sexton, President of NYU and socialite mega millionaire City Planner Amanda Burden, the people of NYC's great "Burden" pushed the corrupt tear down of St. Ann's and don't forget the USPS owned the air rights over St. Ann's 120 East 12th Street and to date never notified the State of NY as legally required so the State would examine is the air sale in the best interest of the community.
The corrupt mega billion dollar losing USPS and real estate mega magnate NYU didn't want this air sale examined because it was only in the best interest of the USPS and NYU.
No more Bloomberg and socialite mega millionaire city planners running our city!!!!!
I want Amanda Burden fired although with people like her -- firing is not an option...she departs for an even better position in the private sector maybe even the Blooomberg empire.
Mike getting a third term is fitting since he destroyed this city -- it is a mess and in shambles so he is going to have to deal with the fall out. So many infrastructures are collapsing from our streets, below street level to democracy itself...welcome to the New hideous New York...the buildings are among the ugliest, most soulless every built, mostly sky piercing mirrored buildings that reflect a history destroyed and communities no longer welcome...a narcissist's wet dream....
Mike and Amanda can admire their reflections and handy work....and they do often.
