It is hard to describe how corrupt and nasty Christine Quinn is until you have actually worked for her. The more time you spend around her the more she disgusts you. I was hired by the previous Speaker of the City Council Gifford Miller. When Quinn took over the Council she destroyed the institution. She hired the most unqualified and corrupt hacks imaginable. I watched her fire approximately sixty people in one day. She then hired a disbarred attorney, according to a wonderful article written by Tom Robbins. She also promoted Maura Keaney who was fined by the Conflicts of Interest Board for breaking lobbying laws. Quinn will lie right to your face. In 2006, Matthew Farrell, a City Council Senior Staffer promoted under Gifford Miller, died too young from an illness. Within a matter of days Quinn blamed the mass firing on Matthew Farrell to deflect the anger of the remaining staff that watched their friends get fired and thrown out into the street like dogs. Yes, people get fired from these politically appointed jobs at City Hall, but it is the dishonest way that Quinn goes about hiring and firing people. When the entire Council Staff had a memorial service for Matt Farrell, we stood there in shock as she blamed the mass council staff firings on a dead man who could not defend himself. Sexual preference has nothing to do with character and Quinn has no character. She is just as corrupt as Bloomberg.

The real story here is how Bloomberg used his wealth to win at all costs ("Behind every great fortune there is a great crime"- Balzac). It will take a long time to repair the damage that he has inflicted upon the city, from CityTime to the no-bid contracts at the DOE with NewsCorp. to his nanny society edicts. This is arrogance personified. Quinn is an extension of Bloomberg, so it's imperative that we elect in 2013 someone not tied to his apron strings.

Well, I just hope that the NY Times will scrutinize Christine Quinn the same way they are scrutinizing Liu. Ms. Quinn has alloted millions of dollars in city funds (tax payer money) to incompetent and corrupt organizations (but well connected ones). She will sell her soul to the highest bidder to be elected mayor and has no principles. She may think that kissing up to Bloomberg will get her into office and God help NYC is it works. She is as sleazy as they come.

I said before Christine Quinn was not out on the street handing out flyers and protesting the petite woman that was punched in to a coma by a man over a parking spot.

I am against violence towards women and gay bashing of any kind and had been a victim of both although I am straight.

Quinn is a one issue politician and her issue is gay rights and that is it.  Great issue and I support equal rights but she wants to be mayor representing all the people of New York.    She refuses to answer one tough question on any topic and The NY Daily News exposed that fact she has been sued 4 times for back rent.

Picture the Homeless was banned by Christine Quinn from attending city council meetings until famed Civil Rights lawyer Norman Siegel contacted her office. He was directed to her legal council and they apologized. You can't ban a group of people but clearly dying her hair all these years has taken it's toll. Quinn has blocked Intro 48 which is a bill to have a count of how many empty lots and buildings there are in NYC and you could understand homeless groups want to know but as The NY Post points out Christine Quinn has her priorities and dying her hair as well as catering rich New Yorkers eager to donate $ to her mayoral run are her top 2 priorities. How can she face NYers when she refuses to help us to get a hospital to replace St. Vincent's. A gay man was attacked in the W. Village 2 blocks from St. Vincent's. Rushing him there saved his life as he was put in a coma to help his brain to heal. Thanks to politicos like Quinn we bail out banks but not hospitals. Quinn needs to quit a job serving the people and focus on coloring her hair.




Please can we have an App for our Iphone that gives us the latest toll on how much her high priced defense attorney is costing us as exposed by The NY Post. Who in NYC gov okayed using Sullivan & Cromwell, a firm that specializes in White Collar crime used by Goldman Sachs for Quinn's staff?
