Dear FDNY and NYPD: Be prepared to rescue more innocent civilians, I can't tell you when but on scorching sunny days to see the subway floor filled with water and the ceiling is rusted through...I will post the link to the ceiling leaking the other day and I have another posting at Cooper Station on the uptown side on a raining day where water was coming through the rusted ceiling.
There are two New Yorks, the new hideous NY built way to fast, a tsunami of community crushing development with NYU mega dorms and hideous Trump buildings including one that took the life of a construction worker. All of Trumps buildings leave you with one clear thought, Donald Trump is clearly compensating for feelings of inadequacy but I can't feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for the family of the construction worker that died at Spring and Varrick.
The other New York is the people that continue to be pushed out as gentrification becomes supersification and the bills go out, the cost of living goes up. You know my theory that Con Ed is not going to admit our bills are going up to pay for the massive infrastructure expansion for sky piercing mega dorms, luxury hotels and condos.
The infrastructure especially in places like the East Village, West Village, Lower East Side and else where is very old and delipidated.
I did write all the papers and asked them to contact the Mayor -- the city about this because I don't believe the city will respond to me. How many emails including to Dan Doctoroff, a letter published in AM New York in infrastructure concerns for 120 East 12th St. Ann's now a mega dorm AND CITY WIDE which I sent to everyone ---
and than an exercise in what feels like futility I did email the mayor and made it clear I contacted the press.
I do not want to hear at some point someone died because of this gross negligence and hearing some politician who ignored our pleas for help to say "Safety first" and again the focus becomes greed first and the people of this city last.
I will email this to the press with the reference number from the city of New York in response to the email I sent.
