NYU is the Evil Empire of the East Village having mega dormed the East Village to death. It is my opinion they have jeopardized the safety of the community surrounding the St. Ann's world record setting tear down mega build at 120 East 12th Street and the USPS used their federal status to say hey, we don't need to notify the State of New York which they did so the State could determine if selling the air space over St. Ann's was in the best interest in the community and examine environmental concerns. Yesterday at the Union Square Subway, a scorching sunny day the rusted ceiling in the subway had water pouring down from the ceiling. We have had medium size infrastructure breaks in the East Village and West (I was filmed on NY1 by one of them) and the safety of the community, city wide is not being place before this tsunami of community crushing development. NYU is the no 1 real estate magnate in NYC and gets to use their not for profit status to hide behind as they greedily buy up as much of New York as possible. Regarding Alicia Hurley's statement about Washington Square Park, the most hideous architecture including the NYU student center and the Bobst library have destroyed the beauty and history of the park and therefore NYU should not get to exploit the historic Washington Square Arch as their logo since their tear down and supersize our historic community . I have asked Alicia Hurley for community outreach resource centers to help the our community including small businesses and to date there has been zero action because NYU is to focused on this greedy way to rapid expansion that proves they are the worst of neighbors and in no way partners in the community. The only thing John Sexon, the mayor and mega millionaire socialite city planner have not done is provide NYU trolleys and buses to move us all out to make room for NYU's unending need to expand.

By the way, just to give you another example of what bad partners NYU is with the community, NYU parks their trolleys and buses on Lafayette Street and Broadway as if they own the streets since they do own just about everything else.
Park your trolleys and buses on your private property. Encourage your college kids to use public transportation like our NYC high school kids do or create a free bike sharing program.
I asked for NYU to list small businesses on our phamphlets and in community outreach resource centers plus a 311 like number to call and make complaints or ask for help regarding community concerns.
NYU has done nothing to create this community resource centers and they should go in every facility that uses the term community facility to supersize and exclude the community.
