This is a street in the East Village...just very drained and so sad about this Chinese student attending Columbia University dieing so tragically and he seemed like a good soul and so productive while his violent harasser's achievements was showing his friends he could punch someone in the face. Note: There was video tape of the attack on this innocent student and I am glad just in case the abuser gets a case of "amnesia" that goes hand in hand with "blame the victim". There is nothing I could say to comfort this young man's loved ones but another good soul dies too young in New York City and again this was a young man that was making a difference in people's lives for the better, may he rest in peace.

thoughts on NYC news and life
This is a street in the East Village...just very drained and so sad about this Chinese student attending Columbia University dieing so tragically and he seemed like a good soul and so productive while his violent harasser's achievements was showing his friends he could punch someone in the face.
I was punched in the face a long time ago a few blocks from my soon to be ex-home and maybe a decade ago walking down St. Marks Place by Tompkins Square Park a young man tried to rip my walk man out of my hand as his friend watched. He did not succeed. I know what it is to be approached by someone with intent to cause distress and I understate myself. To think this young man ran away from his attacker in to traffic to die......sad, tragic and should never have happened and his parents have yet to get the paperwork to be able to get here from China.
Heart breaking....
The congestion pricing not passing is good because people cannot afford NYC anymore and it would have hurt people already struggling to be able to remain here. I would like to see less congestion in the streets and sidewalks but this was not the answer.
Sept. 11 was heart breaking and really too much to absorb, to get your heart and mind around but what has been happening here is also too much. I am really stunned, just shocked and I know I am one of many city wide that is very upset. I do not recognize my neighborhood and that is why I picked this picture because I like the trees and the small buildings. Just feel like enough is enough. Everything seems to be here in New York for me but more and more I feel I want to leave. Just don't know yet where to go. Maybe this feeling will pass but it finds me more and more.
