What do you know about being afraid of getting evicted?

You said that you owned a coop, bought a condo, and you talk about moving again. That is not what the average East Village resident can aford to do. "Real" East Villagers don't have your optioins. We live in rent stabilized apartments afraid that the rent laws will change. We don't have the money to buy a condo. And if we had the money to buy a condo we wouldn't sit there bitching about it, complaining and saying that we have to move again.

You are a prima donna. Get off your high horse and stop pretending that you know what our lives are about.

I wish I could run around the neighborhood, talk to people, lunch, sit in the park and then go home and write about it. I, as ,many have to work to pay my rent. I as many have to clean my apartment, do my laundry, go food shopping. You don't appear to do any of this.

You are not a "real" eastvillager, so stop pretending. Just admit who you really are.

Dear annonymous: I actually do know what it is like to be afraid of being evicted and afraid for one's personal safety. Have you had to worry for your personal safety walking in and out of your home? I did. Victims are blamed by their abusers and yes you can be evicted from a condo or coop but I guess you didn't know that.

Also you don't know that many middle class or people that just don't have money but do own and can just afford to meet the monthly charges will be forced out of coops and condos because some of the buildings were run like the city of New York meaning to many wrong decisions and massive assessments are coming to fix up those buildings so people will be forced out of buildings they own but there are other ways to evict people from coops and condos.

There are so many ways people are being pushed out of the city.

I am not average in anyway but thank you for pointing that out. I intend to be very famous but after I am dead so I enjoy it but if it before I am sure you would come and insult me and tell me what an expert you are on me even though you are wrong.

I am on my high horse. People are getting high all the time so why not high on a horse?

You come to a blog where it is documented that I have helped people fight eviction. Tonight I was paid respect and given thanks by Peter from Whole Earth Bakery and Kitchen and other people I have helped fight eviction.

How funny you talk about me and money. Since you insult me and instruct me to admit who I am may I ask your name?

You told me I am not a true East Villager as you define it. I am glad I don't meet your standards.

My grandfather was born in a tenement house on Ludlow Street. I lived in the same place here in the East Village for 20 years until I was forced out but you tell me I am not an East Villager. You would know.

I was writing State Attorney Generals office asking for help and protection for our neighborhood from NYU --- several of his divisions and than one day I had to contact him about safety for myself and I got a response from someone on his staff to go to the precinct which I did.

I was not able to get the help I needed. I did get through to the environmental crime division re: NYU and St. Ann's. Ask Andrew Berman because I had him talk to Cuomo's guy. I have huge concerns for the safety of the people here on many fronts including infrastructure but dear annonymous I know I am a prima donna not a true east villager by your standards.

As to lunching, hmm, lunching helps a place stay open and in business and not be evicted and turned in to a bar or a bank. Thanks for condemning me for having lunch.

Thanks for at least having the glimmer of smarts when you say "I don't "appear" to be any of this." because it is clear you came here to put me down and erase me and you can't erase all the good I have done.

I got major thanks for people I help fight eviction in the East Village today so thanks for the put downs.

I do think I will have to leave and more and more I want to leave although I love the city.

My grandfather left Ludlow Street and moved to the Bronx. He became a mailman. He hoped for a better life and he didn't find one.

When I do finally leave I wont' miss people like you who judge me by appearances and think they know me and who attempts to erase all that good I do.

I am confident I will be missed. I have written story after story and poems about how much I love the neighborhood. Dear self righteous one
please doesn't loving the neighborhood qualify me to be a real East Villager on your turns?

I will miss the neighborhood. Thanks for the abuse you are not part of what I will miss not that I know your name -- just that you tell me to get honest and call me prima donna high horse so I know you are a very honest anonymous person.

When I didn't have money I remember walking a big red doberman of a friend that was dieing. I would take his dog for a walk in Tompkins when ever I had time so it is nice to have money to donate to eviction battles but I have always known it doesn't take money to help people. That was around the time I had a crappy job at Circle Fine Art and starting going to massage school at night at the Swedish Institute but I am not a real East Villager.

I would offer to take you out for dinner but you clearly have judged me, condemned me and dumped on me.

I would like to know your name and since I have done so much good for my community may I ask you one favor.

Don't come back to my blog. There is clearly nothing I or this blog have to offer you.
Thank you,
Suzannah B. Troy

You ask my name, my name is not importsnt I am one of the very many people who live here and work here. I have enough confidence in myself to not announce to everyone what I do, who I am. What I do is private.

If I help somone I don't announce it over and over and over again.

If I make a donation it is private. I know what I donated and that is enough.

I started to read your blog because I thought it had to do with the East Village. I realized that it is not about the East Village it is about you. All you talk about is who you are, what you do. All it is is I, I did this, I am doing this, I went there, I , I , I , I .

Boring.

You are boring, you are repetitive. You talk about getting away, from what???? All you do is walk around all day.

The East Village is about immigrants, workers, not people that walk around all day having a conversation here, a conversation there.

After work we come home and take care of our family's. The next day we do the same thing.

You just float around here and there.

Don't pretend you are enything else but a pure narcissist, an egomaniac.

I came here to read about the East Village not to see your picture in a tiny shirt. Too bad you think that you need to stoop to the level.

Call a spade a spade - This blog is about you. The East Village happens to just be your stomping ground.

There are other blogs that I will continue to read that are "real" people writing about "real" issues. Neither more nor less, east-village.com, savelowereastside blog just to name a few.

If you take out the "I" in your blog it would actually be interesting. Right now it is all about "I".

Boring.

Let us see, my name is at the top of the blog so yes it is about me. You say boring over and over -- as if you want to prove it and you don't believe it. You talk about stooping but your visits to my blog and your trash talk show your stooping and are you emailing me from work or is your name Alistair?

How would you know I float around all day? Are you paid to watch me float around all day.

If am everything you say I am and so boring why so much passion.

I asked you to not return.

It is called stalking on the internet.

If you have so much confidence and you are so proud anonymous why continue to harass me.

I will ask you again to leave my blog.

Do not contact me and everything you accuse me of I beileve you are guilty of but worse at this point you are a cyber stalker.
