DOT did takes steps for safety but I want 2 speed bumps
Dear Readers: I got a very nice letter a year ago and today one year later I decided to ask for speed bumps again.
Man log: 9204 cc: G. Soffian, R. Russo, C. Chatterson, FileDear Janette Sadik-Kahn and Margaret Forgione:I am guessing you are both dignified good people representing our city acting in good faith. Thank Ms. Forgione for her letter and follow through. Please go back and see if you can get a mini-miracles and if it means talking to the mayor himself to personally donates the funds to give these two schools (Anna Silver School Jr. H.S. 25) speed bumps than I am asking you to go to the mayor. I walked below Houston and saw numerous schools and they all have speed bumps except for these two. Please look in to this again and I am asking you to bring this to the attention of the mayor if that is what it takes and ask him for a personal donation to pay for two speed bumps to make the area safer for kids on the Lower East Side.Thank you,Suzannah B. Troyps I am so upset about this I am posting this on my blogwww.suzannahbtroy.blogspot.com
p.s when I showed a rep. I think they are called a public rep from Community Board 3 that DOT actually did take measures with signs etc to improve safety and were examining whether to put in speed bumps this "person" that doesn't represent me gleefully and nastily said "you will never get speed bumps." I pointed out they missed the point that steps had been taken to make it safer.
This burning hot day for some reason lit a fire in me and I decided to write again.
Alfredo's fiery speech about the need for speed bumps at community board meetings before I completely wrote off the community board inspired me. I don't feel the community is represented and most dont' know they even exist.
