If I could have asked Christine Quinn these questions at the debate, I would have asked her....
First City Council Debate among Candidates for Democratic Primary in the 3rd District Race. Debate facility owned and operated by: New York University (19 West 4th Street)
Christine Quinn acknowledges she was aware of corruption and her response was to call for an investigation of City Council members and aides. Okay, I see where she is going her. She is innocent but she is aware of corruption.
My first question is this. Christine Quinn, if you were aware of corruption was that not even more reason to demand that city council NOT vote on term limits?
Due to Christine Quinn's knowledge of this on going investigation of city council staff members and their aides it shows her poor lack of judgement, weak leadership and most of all her wrong thinking in denying the people a referendum but to defer to city council members tainted by corruption makes her decision an even greater wrong and a injustice to the people of New York City.
I blame Mike Bloomberg, Christine Quinn and all city council members that denied us a referendum but they come off looking like accomplices to a crime on democracy even more so all knowing there was an on going investigation in to corruption which leaves the term limits votes tainted and they should be tossed out.
Question for Christine Quinn: How much have tax payers had to pay for your legal bills so far to date? http://www.nypost.com/seven/12112008/news/regionalnews/council_in_lush_mess_143667.htm?CMP=EMC-email_edition&DATE=12112008
If you are innocent why did you have to hire one of the top defense attorneys specializing in white collar crime and ditto for staff members using top law firms that specialize in white collar crime?
Do you understand why you are perceived as corrupt?
You flushed democracy down the toilet and it makes it worse because of tainted city council members and aides, some who have pleaded guilty and their votes -- surprise -- were to extend term limits.
Christine Quinn -- Did you give pork to developers and get campaign contributions in return? Do you feel that is ethical?
Under the Bloomberg administration, there has been a tsunami of community crushing development. Can you understand the people of New York City feel betrayed by Mike Bloomberg, you and all city council members that turned a deaf ear to us when we asked you for help protecting our communities from developers?
Thanks to The New York Daily News for articles like this one hyperlinked which exposed that Melinda Katz got close to half a million dollars in donations from developers, that you, Christine Quinn, yourself have given pork -- as reported by Benjamin Lesser, an example is to $2million dollars you sponsored for Dermott and they in return gave you close to $25,000 in campaign contributions and the project was never cancelled by Dermott did not get dough to do the towers.
Please read this article and the last two paragraphs make Christine Quinn look less than ethical.
Does the $2million get returned?
Do you understand that people feel you and other city council members gave pork to developers and got campaign contributions in return and the majority of New Yorkers feel they were not represented and worse betrayed by you for developers that make hefty campaign contributions?
I filmed a series of videos and posted on YouTube from the street outside the debate between Quinn and her opponents and I felt Quinn aided by The Villager stacked the debate with her supporters and abetted by NYU (mega real estate magnate) closed off the event to the community again trouncing democracy. Please note that NYU's president, John Sexton ran down to City Hall to testify that Mike Bloomberg must have a third term so it is no surprise NYU would be aiding and abetting Mike's mini-me, Christine Quinn to stack the audience with her supporters, exclude the community and press that might actually report the truth.
Why should anyone vote for you?
Note: David Yassky told me he did not vote for a third term for himself. Based on the points I made above you can understand why I urge all New Yorkers to vote those that robbed us of our democratic process out of office.
I voted for Mike Bloomberg twice because I felt there was no other choice and now yet again I find myself with one choice and that is to vote him and everyone that denied us a referendum and robbed us of the democratic process out of office! I urge you to do the same. From the steps of City Hall I got to tell Mike Bloomberg this: Vote Bloomberg out of office! Oust the king! I voted for you twice, you betrayed my vote!
+ I protested Christine Quinn at the Jane Jacobs Street naming and I was erased as if I did not exist by The Villager! The Coney Island people are asking for help and only two city council members voted to protect the community and Christine Quinn was not one of them. Watch the YouTube and witness Quinn being honored at the Jane Jacobs street signing where shortly there after she would turn a deaf ear yet again to New Yorkers asking for protection from developers. The women protestors are dressed as Jane Jacobs. As I say in the YouTube, Christine Quinn is no Jane Jacobs.
Thank you,
