USPS estimated to lost $238 billion over next 10 years, aren't you glad they have their federal status to abuse?

The USPS owned the air rights over St. Ann's from 1847 at 120 East 12th Street and sold the air rights to NYU so NYU could tear down this beautiful historical church to mega dorm the East Village to death. I urge you to visit this address to see the facade from 1847 which is a badge of shame for NYU and the USPS. Why? The USPS was legally obligated to notify the State of New York because although not landmark protected St. Ann's was historical. The State would have examined is this in the best interest of the community and environmental concerns. It never happened. Just like blocking the fire hydrant outside my now ex-home of 20 years the USPS was confident they are above the law.
It is nice to have Federal Status to abuse with regard to selling air space aka real estate deals, threatening and intimidating customers, illegal parking including in front of fire hydrants which endangers communities, blocking cross walks and do not bother calling the postal police...they are as outdated and ineffective as the USPS.
Note: When the USPS employees come in and intimidate you they will not give you their name but they have your s and know where you live. How lovely that their uniform says United States on it. The USPS customer service makes the Mafia look warm and cuddly. The corporate offices will send you apologetic letters but it means nothing.
It is time for the USPS to lose their Federal Status and be held accountable across the board and most of all they must lose their Federal Status. I do not use the USPS at all if possible and it is not because of email.

USPS blocks cross walk so no handicap person can get up on to sidewalk DO NOT COMPLAIN
The USPS has lost aprox 14 billion dollars in the last 4 years and this photo can't convey the serious parking violations including illegal parking, blocking the entrance on the cross walk for handicap people that need access but I warn you not to complain. Even the Postal Police are the biggest joke if any of this was funny but it is not.To complain means the corporate office apologizing via mail and telephone calls and the worst kind of retaliation that I promise you -- you cannot imagine so do not complain.
We simple have to wait until the USPS loses maybe a 100 billion dollars for them to find take responsibility for major problems that have nothing to do with competing with the internet but here is one hint...customer service that makes the Mafia look warm and friendly and zero respect for the laws which includes abusing their Federal Status.

The USPS may lose 7 Billion this year! Shady air sales and customer service that makes the mafia look warm and friendly no surprises here

The USPS is confident they are above the law and can lose billions of dollars that we the people absorb one way or another.
The USPS is confident they can block fire hydrants which they did outside my home 24/7 and even laugh at me "Let the NYPD ticket and tow me".... The USPS was confident it could sell the air rights over St. Ann's at 120 East 12th Street without notifying the State of New York as legally required. Although mysteriously St. Ann's was not landmark protected, St. Ann's was built in 1847 and therefore historical.
THAT MEANS THE USPS HAD TO NOTIFY THE STATE OF NEW YORK SO THE STATE COULD EXAMINE ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS AND IS THIS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE COMMUNITY!!!!!! This never happened because two greedy powerful institutions both above the law and accountability both for their own greedy self serving reasons needed to push this deal thru and the City of New York was unwillingly to do anything to put the people of New York City and their safety as well as environmental concerns because the mayor and most of City Council are deeply enmeshed with developers that pray at the alter of greed and speed to make sure they aren't held accountable.

Sept. 11 marked the largest loss of firemen in NYC's history so how do you think it felt to walk out of my home everyday and see the fire hydrant blocked? The air rights sale showed zero respect for the concerns of the community as well.
If that wasn't bad enough I was to found out in a more direct way the USPS treatment of customers makes the mafia look warm, friendly and like honorable guys. Can you imagine individuals in uniform representing the US government coming on to your property -- yes, I know that was a shock to one representative who has a most unusual chat with me on my property -- yes, I told him, I am an owner. This individual in management quickly retired and although a very layed back fellow and well like I am sure, I didn't appreciate being summoned like a child, being threatened until I called the police and they explained the law. The bottom line is more was to come and it only got worse.
It is not like living out in the country where your mail box is outside your fence but in NYC postal workers come right on to your property and I found out there is a list of rules like don't approach customers, let me tell you I was "approached" often and threatened. Do you think the postal police did anything?
The tax payers have to absorb these mega billions in losses each year. The USPS suggested a bail out. A bail out like bailing out Wall Street where middle and lower income people that do not have the health insurance or retirement packages have to bail out workers that have far more than they do?
The USPS needs to lose the US federal protection that allows them to operate above the law, that protects employees who are intimidating and threatening customers and most of all be held accountable across the boards from speedily selling air sale over historical sites and not notifying State Authorities as required to blocking fire hydrants.
Any business that makes the Mafia look warm and cuddly deserves to go out of business.
