Mike's big fat lie about being fighter for community youtube of mine Derek reminds me about the Palladium
I clearly am so deeply traumatized I completely blocked out the Palladium tear down -- my windows for the last 20 years faced the back of the Palladium but it wasn't until Derek and I started commenting back and forth on my new youtube Mike Bloomberg's new ad a big lie-- and Derek brought up the NYU -- Palladium tear down did I remember. The USPS acting as if they are above the law "business as usual" sold the air rights to St. Ann's from 1847 and did not notify the State of NY as legally required but the USPS needs big bucks as they are a multi-billion dollar losing operation each year and the USPS has no problem blocking fire hydrants, having customer service that makes the Mafia look warm and cuddly and forget about notifying the State as legally required so the State could come in and examine is this in the best interest of the community -- NYU didn't care either - just make the sale, tear down this historic building and supersize.
I also had to watch The New School supersize and mega dorm on 12th Street as well copying NYU and jumping on the mega dorm band wagon confusing the East Village with dorm fodder.
Thanks to Derek for jogging my memory.
July 4 was the best of times and worst of times. Best was the time I spent with a friend -- a real one not a back stabber or an old man trying to play barbie with me where I am the barbie -- gross....and I had an experience so awful that it made me feel like a Viet Nam Vet -- post traumatic stressing -- found myself ptsing again and I am still not out of it.
Has affected my sleep or lack of, eating, exhaustion....everything I have been working to heal.
I find myself wishing for justice....just saw a swarmy creep that came here decided she wanted to get involved in politics, wasn't going to let the fact she wasn't an American citizen stop her and didn't seem to care there were so many American citizens that were not be represented. She told me she would stop giving her landlord a hard time if he paid her a million dollars to leave and so many people being threatened with eviction haven't been offered half that.
Just unpleasant times, unpleasant people, more evictions to come, tougher times as well, more unpleasantness and that is putting it mildly.
