Christine Quinn corruption protest wear by Suzannah B. Troy
The days have been unbelievably stressful and yes it does tie in to the tsunami of community crushing development that the Bloomberg administration pushed that directly affected my life, and still does along with so many New Yorkers. It has taken a toll on my health.
These photos are dedicated to Mae West, David Siefman, Sally Goldenberg, Benjamin Lesser and the people of NYC that deserve people at City Hall that truly serve them and not developers that have crushed this city with greed and stupidity just like Wall Street.
I haven't even showered yet today and I wake up every day exhausted. I got email sent to me to try and stop me from my protest of Quinn so I immediately made this shirt to continue my protest right now on the world wide web. I am so tired this is a less intensive way and I don't have to worry about intimidation by Quinn using the NYPD. Even Mike Bloomberg has not done that to me on the steps of City Hall when I confronted him twice.
My mother who was born in the Bronx, skipped a grade at the famous high school for the arts, attended City College and than got a full scholarship graduate level for economics. She never forgot "The Depression" and she gives me gifts of 2nd hand clothes like this t-shirt that was from a $5.oo bag. I transformed the 25 cent? shirt in to a protest shirt directly referencing Goldenberg's and Lesser's powerful pieces. I wish they along with Siefman had reports every day exposing even more scandals than they do already.
Politicos from Albany to City Hall have been self serving, greedy, decadent and arrogant but worse some have been blatantly corrupt if not covertly.
I thought of Benjamin Lesser of The New York Daily News -- his powerful pieces exposing of City Council members are giving pork to developers and getting kickbacks, oops I meant to say, commission, oops I meant to say campaign contributions in return.

Lesser exposed Quinn giving 2 million dollars in pork to Dermott and getting almost 35 thousand dollars in campaign contributions and also note Dermott never got their project built. So do they have to return the 2 million dollars?

Please read this article and the last two paragraphs will introduce you to a Christine Quinn you may not know.
These two NY Daily News articles explain why the majority of City Council turned a deaf ear to communities city wide when we asked for protection from developers.
