For those who don't know Steve Rattner, no relation to Bruce Ratner the developer is also best friends and money manger buddies with the owners of The NY Times and NY Daily News as well as being a big time money raiser for the democratic party.  Like Charles Rangel he thought he was above the law.

Rattner refuses to believe he did anything wrong.

What was he doing involved in the NY Pension funds anyway.

For those how have not been paying attention the handling of the pension funds by these greedy creeps that paid to play or NYC gov paid a few they should not have -- the handling sucked and I am surprised there are not more law suits besides the BP one.

You should want to know and the info should be available on NYC gov website but it isn't because the people of NY will have to make up the difference in the losses in higher taxes....

Ethical questions:   What was Mike Bloomberg's best friend and money manager doing involved in pensions in NY and don't The NY Times and NYDN have to write some where in their reports the special friendship their owners have with Rattner?

The above YouTube doesn't directly mention Steve Rattner but we (me and other bloggers) thought Mike Bloomberg was running for the shelter of The White House like Steve Rattner did thinking he was above the law but he had to resign from his job at The White House as Car Czar.  I believe he wanted to be Treasurer, a job later offered to his best friend Mike Bloomberg.

Steve Rattner urged Mike Bloomberg to run for a third term.  Steve Rattner I believe has some of Mike Bloomberg's money off shore as in Cayman Islands.  Steve Rattner is trying to plug a book he has ghost written...a vanity book that is about as honest and forth right as Steve Rattner pleading the 5th to the SEC more times than Mike Bloomberg's been mayors.  

Steve Rattner was busted for pay to play pension fund scandals although the still maintains his innocent but does an innocent person plead the 5th over and over?

It is clear that both Steve Rattner and Mike Bloomberg both have a lot of money and powerful friends willing to play to their vanity, smoke and mirrors and do public relations for them or air brush a lot of dirt  or in my opinion is plain old corruption.

if Steve Rattner who pleaded the 5th Amendment so many times he  well let us see

than in theory the SEC should ban him....

I have no idea if and when this will happen (if it happens this is HUGE -- things like this do not happen to guys like Rattner)  but if it does Mike Bloomberg is going to have to take one giant step away from Steve Rattner and transfer his 5 billion Steve is money managing...remember the same money Steve moved out of Quadrangle in to a newly made company so Quadrangle could take the fall and not Rattner for the pension fund scandals...but oops Rattner took the fall....

I can't imagine Rattner will squirm his way out of this one although he says he is innocent and still believes his ghost written book on him being the hero savior of auto industry from his Car Czar spot at The White House will make his best friend, the owner of The New York Times best seller list.

Denial aside can we have a list -- a giant flow chart --of everyone that testified Mike Bloomberg must have a 3rd term and how much money, hugely plush real estate deals and back room deals were "made" for them courtesy of Mike Bloomberg and Gang, oops I meant TEAM BLOOMBERG.  

Pay-offs via a charity fund exposed kicks Mike's 109 million dollars of spending to win or steal a third term up to a new record high....this exposed "gift" makes Mike's buy 112 million doesn't it and I am sure there is more....yes?   But is anyone going to do the math?  Really do the math....?   

It is like the Manhattan DA investigating Haggerty when Mike holds the purse strings to the DA's budget and Mauren Keaney I believe is married to a man that Cy Vance owes money to for his campaign and Keaney a huge Bloomberg zealot worked with Haggerty....meaning we need this investigated and prosecuted else where.

For now Mike Bloomberg remains Teflon Mike....but for how long...especially if Rattner gets banned by the SEC and how can the SEC not ban him if he pleaded the 5th over and over.....?

Is Rattner so well connected the SEC will let him go the way Sephora was going to let Caroline Guiliani walk or will the SEC send a message the way Sephora's top management decided they must - that the rich and connected are not above the law...

What could prompt Mike Bloomberg to hire a Bush crony for City Hall?

Answer:  Mike refuses to give up on his other big dream = The White House.
Theory: President Obama is called Bush light -- he is not winning popularity contests these days...

Mike will never win another political office.  He burned to many bridges and the people of New York  City with his community crushing development and his major disrespect denying us a referendum and flushing democracy down the toilet so he could steal or buy his 3rd term.  And he just barely succeeded!

Mike like his ruthless, greedy money manager Steve Rattner thrive on denial like it is crack cocaine and that is lucky for them but Mike should forget hiring Bush's guy and start making amends which will cost more than the 5 billion that he still has Steve Rattner managing despite Rattner possibly being banned by the SEC.

Rattner still thinks he is going to plug his book on being the car czar at The White House and thinks people buy the story he stepped down to spend time with his family in NYC....Mike must be considered family.

Bloomberg still is harboring President of the Unites States fantasies.

I even wonder if he brought in the scandal riddled SAIC to manage CityTime because he was "going presidential" but the trouble is Bloomberg's techno fantasies have cost the people of this city billions and CityTime and the FDNY dispatch system, a multi-billion dollar  flawed system.
