G-d could have chosen something bigger and golden filled with jewels to make a statement but instead Hashem uses a humble bush but makes a bush unforgettable impossible to ignore... why chose something humble as a bush albeit a burning bush? G-d could made a statement of let's say a burning sky why choose something as humble as a bush?
In life especially this era it seems even more reflexive we are distracted, gee I want the modern version of a golden calf...could be some kind of technology calf or fame calf, money powercalf, the gold and gems , celebrity would be the way to go and that's what you really want -- we are inundated day in and day out with commercials telling us we need this, we should have that, buy this if we do we will look beautiful will be more lovable etc.
Whatever we thought we needed how often go we grow tired and bored of "it" and move onto the next thing which makes people richer but doesn't make us happier does it?
I'm not saying that you should want coal but in choosing coal with the help of an angel, baby Moses survives -- his life is preserved, he can go on to do far greater accomplishments than can be measured by bowl/chest of gold and jewels.

Very often in life we are presented with a modern day version of the golden calf, even people pretending that they are some kind of golden calf we should idolize them because they are so desperate to be admired and idolized how sad is that?
Best to turn away... sooner or later you realize all that's glitters is not gold. Everything is temporary so what is truly important in your life?
Stay humble stay focused on having faith even when it feels like there's no hope to convince one self there is hope.
I'm still so traumatized after 4 1/2 years of a violent act it started with verbal violence than physical at the doctors office where I should've been safe and then I went to the police and police detectives and the supervisors joined party to misogynist Hate Crimes threat my guess Joe Tacopina and it was a pile up of crime smile and some lies NYPD detectives breaking the laws and Internal Affairs protected those crimes therefore complicit everybody involved in the crimes of violence the lies there so confident they got away with it and some people including oligarchs of New York and evil slime buckets like Joe Tacopina and Chad Seigel I reported to the New York Supreme Court ethics committee for comparing a rape victims vagina to a Venus fly trap for encouraging violence towards women maybe they had a good laugh when I saw I was a victim of violence thought I got what I deserved which is simply not true.
G-d sees all. If you don't believe in G-d than you may believe in karma?
My goal faith. G-d works in mysterious ways that none of us can understand and has a greater capacity than any of us could ever imagine and I believe there's a bigger big picture.
