Unbroken
http://suzannahbtroy.blogspot.com/2011/01/insomnia-listening-to-audio-book.html
Do you ever have these moments of intense love?
When the going gets rough you think of those that love you back.
The People that love me tend to have the same last name. I was asked to read Unbroken to work on forgiving. I read Seabiscut and loved the film. Economic tough times a story of hope and underdogs that don't look like winners WINNING BIG!!!!
Unbroken was too painful to read so I listened to the audio book. To know how our WW2 soldiers were vusciously tortured by Japanese soldiers makes me scream inside. The stories horrific but Unbroken is an amazing story of forgiveness.
With the help of 2 NYPD officers, Veteran Vendors and the group including an amazing woman Artist who have been on Prince St for so long - my first memory of her was her giving me a gift. I want a thin strip of leather to wear on my ankle and she just handed it to me. She didn't want money. Who knew years later I would fight tooth and nail for the vendors of Prince St.?
I forgave Marty and N today. They didn't ask for forgiveness . They did not say sorry and I don't care.
We have to stay united to defeat Henry Buhl's corrupt illegal economic racism on Prince St to displace Veteran Vendors from the Korean War to Viet Nam to Iraq and our Artists!
Just grateful to all the diverse humanity on Prince including the 2 NYPD officers. I am thinking of everyone who has given to me their time -- their listening... Thanks love and gratitude including my favorite Civil Rights lawyer.
Thanks and gratitude with New York Attitude.
