Suzannah B. Troy's toe broken treated at Beth Israel 3 hours
I never saw or was visited by a doctor. I tried to ask the doctor caring for all the patients who I thought was very cool after all she wears even brighter red lipstick than me but the physician's assistant who treated me broke-up the conversation and gave me the name of a specialist to see.
The staff I dealt with were very diverse and all very nice. The bummer was the moved me along very quickly including the x-ray and from that point they knew my bone was broken but instead after 3 hours I finally was approached given the news and FINALLY offered a Tylenol. Because I have "post-9-11 acid reflux gastritis they said no Advil but when I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist said Advil was better and to take 2 immediately.
I can't believe I broke a bone and what is worse I feel like I broke one and I have a horrible feeling I hair line fractured another.
I had to deal with a lot of aggravation and I was so extremely tired. I wasn't wearing my glasses and I got up and stubbed my toe. I have lost a lot of muscle over the years and I think I lost some bone density as well as other thangs. Once a NYC taxi cab hit me in Central Park and he got out and looked at his car not me. I did have a hair line fracture of my tibia. That was painful and getting up and down subway stairs hell.
They gave me a cane and in the short time I have been using it women have been far kind and men pretty callous. In the long haul I have had some amazing men help me out but anyway the key thing is hopefully not to have anyone step on my foot in the subway.
Exhausted, miss St. Vincent's where I would go when I needed an emergency room.
My MD's said stop giving away your white blood cells, your platelets, your blood, you have to stop giving so much and you need to rest.
For a close up of the bruising.....
