Baltimore Ravens Win!!!!! Michael Oher from poverty, homelessness to the play-offs!!!!!!!
I want any and all New York Teams to win in any and all sports but a huge shut out to The Baltimore Ravens because of Michael Oher I tuned in and cheered but without my voice because my throat is killing me.
Post-Sept. 11 I have throat burn, often a 5 alarm fire in the back of my throat and yelling at king Mike Bloomberg and a corrupt Christine Quinn and city council Friday, Inauguration day hurt my throat but I felt compelled to do so.
Christine Quinn and city council members that voted to extend term limits aided and abetted Mike in stealing a third term for him and themselves. The mayor and city council members that denied us a referendum got a shout of protest from me from across the street at the inauguration, City Hall and my throat still hurts and burns. New York is a hell of a town.
I got "The Blind Side" on audio from Itunes and loved the audio book. The film is "Walt Disney" (but the scene I hyper linked is a good one!) but the movie is not half as good as the book... just okay.
These vapid young blonde girls sitting by me in the movie theatre didn't understand why the Michael character was scooping up left over food from after a game and that was because the screenplay left out one of the most poignant scenes in the book with Mr. Tuohy's asks Michael did you eat today? Michael responds I was in the cafeteria. Sean Tuohy replies that is not what I asked. The blondie girls sitting near me in the audience did not understand Michael was hungry. Michael as a teenager happened to be over weight as well and that is common for Americans with poor nutrition that eat fast food which lacks proper nutrition.
Michael Oher was labeled as stupid, took an IQ test and scored low and was written off by society. He was one of 12 kids with no parent involved in the parenting process and was mostly homeless including enduring abusive foster care. The movie botched a powerful scene in the book rewriting it and losing the power of the Tuohy's taking teenager Michael to their country club for dinner. Michael and the young man busying tables had been in the same foster house and it was awful--a terrible horrible experience they had endured together as kids...They hugged and cried at least according to the book.
Note: Michael doesn't consider the book or the film accurate but is grateful for both. The book and movie got me to tune in to football for the first time in a long time.
Mike had to fend for himself. Through a touching act of a good man from the neighborhood Mike was visited this private school that ended up giving him a chance despite his awful grades.
The Tuohy's end up adopting him as well as hiring tutors to work with him every day. The provided him with his first bed and his own room, food and emotional support most especially from fireball Leigh-Anne Tuohy.
Congratulations to Michael Oher from going to poverty to becoming a top drop pick to making the play-offs with the Baltimore Ravens. He started every game!!!!!!!!
Also congratulations to Quinton Aaron , the young man that plays Michael Oher. I thought the script was medicore or below but you deserve an Oscar nomination which I hope you get and helps your career some more. He too was about to be evicted and would have been homeless like the character he played but he won this role. He like Michael resisted a life of crime for honest work. He even served coffee at Star Bucks. He is now a shining star and has no worries about being evicted anytime soon.
Note: Peaked a the Dallas game. Dumping Jessica Simpson really did radically improve Romo's game. Dallas if off to the play-offs as well.
p.s. I started posting YouTubes starting Oct. 2, 2008 with my very first "Mayor Bloomberg King of New York" ...122,204 is my total amount of views for all my tubes since starting from Oct. 2, '08.
