Unsilent night Tompkins hosted by the lord of the land developer Mike Red Square Rosen, a mini-Mike Bloomberg wannabe
Mike Red Square Rosen is not even close to even touching Mike Bloomberg's philanthropic endeavors but that won't stop the man that wants to be the little "king of the East Village" but he prefer you call him community activist or community organizer as referred to in fellow author Joyce Purnicks info-mericial for bad boy mayor Mike Bloomberg. Joyce also manages to erase the fact Steve Rattner's Quadrangle was implicated in pension scandals that splished splashed all the way to the White House but Mike got to say he was stepping down to spend more time with his family here in NYC. Nice to know Steve Rattner money manager to media moguls considers "City Hall" and Mike family -- or almost.... (Note: The NY Times schills for both Joyce and Mike Red Square Rosen as well as Bloomberg. No wonder the paper is called the rich people's paper (although the paper is a mega bucks financial black hole -- The New York eminent Domain Times is called the developer's newspaper just like Mike is called the developers' mayor and ditto for socialite mega millionaire city planner Amanda the people's Burden. It is ironic the NY Times built it's building using eminent domain and now is using it to rent space to earn money.)
Mike Red Square Rosen - The Red Square --- that is the hideous ugly building on Houston Street with Lenin on top. Apparently even Lenin lovers do not appreciate the statue high above the eye sore that many think was a symbol along with Mike's home -- The Christa Dora -- the symbol of gentrification -- many think of these two buildings associated with Mike Rosen as symbols of the demise of the neighborhood. Mike Red Square Rosen is the lord of the land here in the East Village.
For a long time there are many in the community that have felt because The Christa Dora building -- because it was a welfare building before it was turned in to luxury living for the rich so "community organizers" as Rosen describes himself could perch high above the community and be our zoning hero -- yes -- The Red Square developer and the man that lives in a duplex or triplex high above us all is also considered a zoning hero...I am amazed that anyone thinks any zoning protection did squat because the neighborhood looks like Dubai now except even bankrupt Dubai would not allow The Red Square to be built there. The Red Square looks like a prototype for NYU mega dorms and the new hideous NY Law dorm on 3rd Street even has balconies like The Red Square.
Mike Red Square Rosen believes Lenin is waving at Wall Street from high a top the Red Square on Houston Street but most people think the statue belongs a top Mike Red Square Rosen's luxury digs -- The Christa Dora -- once a Welfare building...yes Mike you make Lenin proud.
Oy vey what a meshuge (Yiddish for crazy)-- משוגע unsilent unholy -- say thank you to little king Mike of the East Village not Bloomberg but Rosen.
Does he have a messiah complex? You can ask him tomorrow night. Enjoy the event in Tompkins Square Park.
