Here is a blog thought that is powerful, I am still waiting to hear from The NY Times

I believe now it is time for leaders of the world use channels other than UN and the so called NGOs which are trying to reach they dying victims of the storm Nargis simply because it failed in the past and so far, it is not getting anywhere while tens of thousands of my fellow citizens die. Through UN or its' security council which includes veto weilding the Russians and Chinese, nothing will ever get done, nothing will ever be passed through the UN. So, the relief organizations should instead focus its resources and energy on getting the Burmese like us who are living in Burma, who knows the country better than others, who hold largest stake get involved more. One way they can do is to empower and encourage the average Burmese to get more involved through media outlets such as BBC and VOA which are widely listened now a days. And instead of pursuading this evil government, the international organizations should stand hand and hand with the people and empower them and provide all the necessary resources using any available means. The indecision or any delay or relunctance in the part of the international community to intervene in this time of crisis will only further the devastating damage done to the people. Already now, UN's lack of courage to intervene has costs tens of thousands of lives and there's no progress in sight in its effort. The question I'd like to raise to the international community is how long will it continue to ignore the plea of its dying people, living under fear of the dictators? Until another 100,000 burmese deaths? or a million? How many Burmese lives is enough for the international community to intervene? May God be the judge here between the international community and the dying people of Myanmar.
