National Night Out Against Crime -- the NYPD is setting up a big table at Union Square.   People are not angry enough and more has to be done to bring peace to the streets; to make safe neighborhoods and stop the hate crimes, stop the violence against women, girls and babies...way too much and maybe we need to have NYC against crime every day to stop crime!

"Crime Fighter" by Jack Maple stays very close to me at all times....Jack Maple was cutting edge ground breaking mapping crime before their were computer systems like CompStat which Jack Maple and William Bratton are credited with bringing to NYC, Jack would literally map crime...he was a head of his time, beyond motivated to catch criminals....so much so that the NYPD would punish him.  They did not want someone from transit making an arrest that was not transit.  That was the old day when each division of the NYPD was separate and did not communicate.  Jack Maple fixed that!  He broke down those walls and got the different divisions of the NYPD to communicate!  Rest in peace Jack!!!!!

I just had someone I did not know come to me desperate for my help.   I always cringe at first -- is this going to be "no good deed goes unpunished" situations?  But I am proud to know I helped 2 people including a child.  Good deeds feel so good....I can't put the feeling in to words.

Also someone I liked was unfairly and wrongly fired.  No union to protect him so I kept his telephone number and would always call and check in with him.  It took a very, very long time but I was able to get his job back.  Management changed and they agreed to take him back.   He is employed with his "resume repaired".  Great feeling...

I  believe more New Yorkers have been displaced by eminent domain abuse and or other tactics but Mike found out pre-his 3rd term that people no longer lived in their homes when his campaign people got "this telephone number has been disconnected" or hang-ups, people furious with his denying us a referendum and stealing a third term and his and his socialite city planner Amanda the Peoples' Burden reckless tsunami of community crushing development.


The mayor and his rich ruling "party class" uses the NYPD to sweep hard working New Yorkers off the streets.  One of the creepy skanky offenders is Michael Rawson of The Mercer Hotel who does not want any of his buddies and clients illegally parked outside to get parking tickets but calls the NYPD on Viet Nam, Korean War Veterans including an 79 year old Vet Rawson would be rude and disrespectful to him and show his delight to the Vet as he called the NYPD on him - Rawson's  thrill for the day.

I have even had an NYPD officer that acts like he is employed by Rawson come up to me and tell me they have a right to park there (all these luxury vehicles but it says loading and unloading only)  and this very same officer has been involved in wrongful ticketing by the NYPD and I say wrong ticketing because the tickets will be thrown out.  Go to my blog engine type in Mercer Hotel to learn more on this story....there are a lot of entries -- keep reading including the posting on the officer I mention above, not young police officer  Caro but an older police officer and you will know the posting when you read it.


Well today in the park mayor Mike has "Best Buy" taking up a big part of our public space because he sees public property as one big advertising arena for big businesses as Mike continues to do his best to crush small business entrepreneurs and violate artist's 1st Amendment Rights.

Please note Mike has not made advertising space available yet on The Statue of Liberty but he -- king Mike Bloomberg did take advertising space on the steps of Grand Central and the ad instructed us "To Think Bloomberg".   I called his offices at both his public and private empires and the company that handles advertising space for the MTA which by the way discriminated against me and refused to give me a price on how much Bloomberg paid, ditto for his public relations woman Ms. Snook and I was refused a price on how much an ad would cost me if I want to run one with the MTA.

THE ADS BY KING MIKE on the steps of Grand Central Station HAVE ALL BEEN REMOVED.  You see I expressed concern that king Mike Bloomberg had blurred the line between his private and public empire once again especially with "Think Bloomberg".

King Mike Bloomberg and his rich wannabe buddies  wants to use the NYPD to ticket Veteran Vendors and Artists trying to make an honest living but what you may not realize is we are heading into an even bigger budget crisis and unemployment is high, higher than reported and of those working there are too many not earning a living wage.  I bet a lot of NYPD would agree that they do not earn a living wage.   That is why many have a 2nd job.   I would rather they earned better bigger salaries but had to take a harder test and their focus was on catching criminals including from the "wealthy partying ruling class" here in NYC's Oligarch central.

You would think Mike wants to keep as many people employed & honorable.  Mike has created 2 New York-- a heavenly one for his rich buddies who have crushed this city with their greedy ruthless agendas, busting through our zoning, abuse eminent domain to mass displace NYers and the other New York is collapsing dilapidated, the middle and low income are being ticketed up to their eyeballs, crime and violent crimes are on the rise and Mike's rich friends use the NYPD to turn a blind eye to them and use ticketing New Yorkers as a form of harassment and to fill NYC's empty coffers because Mike insists on making tax payers pay for his 6 figure salaried campaign staffers estimated cost 2 million dollars, the people have to pay for NYC workers including Scott Stringer who refuses to take a subway -- for their limo and car services which is big bucks, the list goes on....

By the way heroin is cheaper to buy and sell on the street than a box of cigarettes in Mike's new hideous NY and king Mike has spent over 5 grand on booze of tax payer money but we all knew were Mike stood on boozing from all the screaming drunks because Mike is the nightlife party mayor....women being brutally tortured, raped and murdered was just a small glitch in the SLA, community boards run by bar owners, and NYU party central....just a small glitch for Mike.   Imette St. Giullen and Jennifer Moore rest in peace.  Jennifer was under age....No one should die the way they did but the emphasis is on NYC being  party central and catering to the rich that own the bars and nightclubs and hotels and if they want honest innocent people ticketed and arrested they seem to be able to get that to happen.

I was sent an email that I posted on my blog accusing Cy Vance of campaign irregularities.   It came to my attention that  Maura Keaney is married to Guma who worked on Vance's campaign and Vance still owes him money. Keaney was working with Haggerty.  She than was pulled off to work with Christine Quinn with both ending up being skewered by Jim Dwyer in The New York Times for intimidation and all kinds of behavior lacking integrity...ho hum..maybe the Manhattan DA is not the one to be prosecuting this case because king Mike, Teflon Mike holds the purse strings to Cy Vance's budget and we know that Mike and his mini me Christine Quinn are notorious for retaliation against city council members that dare to pretend this is still a democracy.


Also note that I and a group of New Yorkers fighting Mike and Christine Quinn's wrong actions denying us a referendum where cyber stalked and harassed on YouTube as well as City Council member Tony Avella's identity stolen, not a YouTube member along with YouTube members and my theory is this was all done by a paid campaign staffer, or staffers, maybe some interns starting with a young woman who calls herself Cleo.  Cleo would fill mine and other youtubers with spam like comments about Mike and 311 and she would contact every person who commented in support of no third term for Mike.  So many identities contacted and harassed me it became one voice -- a male voice who stalked me and yet again contacted any one who was commenting.  I wrote a comment on The NY Post website under an article on Cy Vance asking that Cy Vance and the NYPD investigate this as part of campaign corruption and I let it be known I filed an aggravated harassment complaint.  I had told the creep I had done so and he did not believe me.  Why would he continue way after the election?  Because Bloomberg and his campaign staff Mike is forcing tax payers' to pay 2 million dollars for according to The NY Post are continuing to work in preparation for Mike to run for President.


Mike wiring money out of his checking account instead of his campaign account sure appears criminal to me.  There is 108 million that needs to be investigated and the YouTube resistance against Bloomberg can verify we were spammed, cyber stalked, harassed and some had identities stolen plus a City Council Member that ran against Bloomberg.  The author of this piece is of course wrong -- we were very effective against Bloomberg in fact so successful he barely won.  We had talked about hiring a bus -- a no third term bus and driving it through all 5 boroughs.  The press would finally have to report the resistance and if we had done so Bloomberg might not have won.  Also note my brilliant political poster lampooning him and asking "Is Democracy for Sale?" was completely blacked out by the press.  The press/media did Bloomberg's corrupt dirty work and did not break any laws doing so.  Well The Villager and NYU turned away the press including NY1 and seniors...

Yet all of Christine Quinn supporters got in.  NYU is perhaps the biggest land owner and could not supply a space big enough to include New Yorkers.   The Villager did not want NY1 in because they did not want any competitive video footage.    The Villager endorsed Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn.  At the end of this YouTube someone says get this video to The New York Daily News but The New York Daily News and The New York Post and The New York Times never covered this debacle that should have been aired also on ever major television station on the local news.

There are more YouTubes exposing what went down.   Also Yetta Kurland I believe would have won a major upset if Maria Passante Derr had stepped down and supported Yetta.  Derr split the vote and help Christine Quinn to barely win and Mike Bloomberg's win was even more humiliating.

Runner's High NYC, miss it bad

I miss the runner's high.  I can't express the euphoria other than being stuck in the big "o" for the entire run.

I started running on the streets of NYC in the 80's and would often have people stop me and ask why do you run in the streets, why not a park.  I would run from the Village up to Central Park and depending on how I felt run a part of the park and home again.

An actor I met from a film got me to start doing runs downtown.  He suggested taking the West Side Highway down.

I went bicycling with my friend the other day and I felt a burn in the back of my throat and my upper chest.  I can't help but think that is WTC death dust damage.  I don't know for sure.  My knees are shot.  Knee replacements are not sophisticated enough to allow running.  The only way I could run now if I was a double amputee which I am not.  How bizarre we do not have the technology to supply knee replacements that allow for running.  I miss running big time.  It was like writing a love letter...running through different neighborhood, passing by monuments including my stopping at the Viet Nam War Memorial downtown -- walls of glass with letters from soldiers some who never made it back http://www.nyvietnamveteransmemorial.org/vvm/memorial_olsen2.html  (I find this letter the most haunting and the most moving)  and quotes from Presidents and leaders and the Korean War Memorial which is also an enormous sun dial that marks the exact time of the Peace treaty.  The sun dial is formed by empty space, what is missing, a soldiers body, and the space creates and eternity -- I love that memorial...very smart....

Aahhhhh, after a night of very lonely people partying hardy....how lonely do you have to be to be drunk and drugged out of your mind, music blasting so you do not have to speak to each other, just party and leave your garbage and as many bodily fluids on the street for the community to endure the morning after.

FDNY NYPD Call Box sad news

Truly we need to be updating these call boxes with state of the art computer screens that give you safety tips, air quality advisories, info on cooling centers, updates on where you can donate jackets for the homeless to what date and time NYPD community meetings are but most of all if your cel phone is not working or you can't find a pay phone this box would work to save lives.  It could even have a 2 way screen like the new IPhone 4 all with the goal to ask for help asap and to have the NYPD and FDNY send the public safety tips, community information and have safer streets and communities.

How ever,  right now,  the new deputy mayor, Stephen Goldsmith is looking in to removing them all together.

Let us face it --except for city council giving themselves a raise, Scott Stringer's speech writer and pricey car service for city workers,  the city of NY is completely bust -- a huge budget crisis is coming next year and there won't be money for the peoples' safety and needs -- never is -- the money is always directed to the developers.   King Bloomberg pushed a reckless tsunami of development on "old" New York's infrastructure and the people are paying in way too many ways.


And for whom....?    Mike Bloomberg and socialite Amanda the peoples' Burdens' good friends and to fill corrupt politicos' pockets.

I did get inside news that the city of course is expanding this tax payer black hole as rapidly and dysfunctional as possible.

Why?  They want to make sure the tax payers' Titanic gets renewed this September.  I and others have been calling for an investigation rather than renewal.
