Unwanted rennovations Washington Square Park that cost a fortune & heartbreaking homelessness same park mega bucks wasted, someone in need with no easy solutions

Another battle fought and lost by the community because the Bloomberg adminstration caters to developers and NYU owns almost all the real estate around the park and wasn't happy with just tearing down the historic buildings and supersizing with hideous ugly buildings like the Bobst Library and the student center but forced unwanted "improvements' that included ripping out trees from their homes and moving a fountain a few feet so it was centered while we are in a recession that might turn in to a depression.

There are only a few parts of the park that don't look like a prison because of all the construction and on this bench is a homeless person sleeping who is clearly in need but there are no easy answers.  Homeless numbers of people has risen under Bloomberg, not the opposite.  I know from my experiences first hand that plenty do not want to live in the shelters and some are caught in viscous cycles of drug abuse and booze as well as some debilitated by mental illnesses as well as physical.

Tips for the little emperor of NYC Mike Bloomberg for his 3rd term

Here are some tips for the little emperor of NYC to help with the budget crisis. Remember all the campaign staff you just hired with 6 figure salaries that The NY Post estimated cost tax payers $2 million dollars? Mike, pay them out of your own pocket. Take a pay cut so instead of paying you a dollar we pay you 50 cents. City Council needs to unvote themselves a raise. Fire all borough presidents and cut out all slush money to city council. Any city gov and Albany money has to be LoJacked and accounted for because Albany and NYC collect so much money in taxes, where is it all going? Fire everyone in the rubber room. Prosecute all corrupt politicos and make them back back the money they have stolen plus jail time. Cut all wasteful city and state spending and Mike give us a vote on a referendum so we can vote for term limits. You stole a 3rd term and the 3rd term is your punishment. No wonder the City of NY gives out free condoms...because the people of NY have been so screwed by the people that supposedly represent us.

Folks:  I have to rest.  I am significantly better although I still have a little cough.  I also have acid reflux and gastritis and I saw a friend who had a heart attack.  I asked him what were the first symptoms?  He said acid reflux.

I want to thank all of you who have asked me about my health and encouraged me to rest and take good care of me.  I also have a group of people involved in what I have had to endure in terms of harassment -- actually on the computer aggravated harassment and cyber stalking so thanks and gratitude to you.

I have plenty more to say about NYC politics and community crushing development and I am making comments here and there but I have to rest and take care of me.  Thanks to all of you following my YouTubes and blogging that send me kind words of support and insights.

Folks: I am so over exhausted and sick of being very sick. Giuseppi and many others have been either calling me and emailing me to see how I am feeling. Today I did way too much and I am exhausted. I still have bad throat burn and a little cough but much better.

I am so very tired I forget to say Lt. Giuseppie Petrosino was the first NYPD officer to die abroad in the line of duty so if you read through the text portion I include a link that tells you how Lt. Petrosino's story is an inspirational story.

Sunday morning in Tompkins Square Park where I first filmed GIuseppi Logan and ran home posted the YouTube and than find the above YouTube with GL and his little son!

Giuseppi learns music by listening and so he had me play some Ella singing Cole Porter I happen to have on my IPhone and than he played the music by ear with his unique interpretations. A woman walking by holding her tennis racquet was really taken by the music and came over and asked to buy a CD of GL's. I ran and got change for her and GL was so pleased by her beautiful words and as always he needs to earn money so it was a good morning for him. GL was pleased with the trip to Phili which Matt Lavelle made happen a long with all the bookings Matt has gotten that help GL to keep on keeping on with dedicated musicians.

I called Jay even though he is far away in California and he called us back. It was so exciting because they will be reunited after all these years. I even put Gwenn on the phone to express her feelings about why she was drawn to GL. Jay and GL talked about music because that is a language that is truly theirs, in their DNA, their musical gifts and when they instantly connect I enjoy the connection and know I can't go their. I don't understand music at all except I love the passion and intensity of music.

It was a joyous and magical time -- the best and most beautiful of NYC magic for me.

Stop to talk to the ASPCA Police visiting the East Village -- I forgot to post this story....

I asked a man (100 times bigger than his dog)  to stop hitting his little very beautiful dog yesterday when I was up in the Bronx.  Unlike the dog, the man looked fierce and had a big tattoo on his neck.  He did not talk to me.   He did stop but the dog had it's tail between it's legs clearly scared of him.


 I saw the ASPCA police today in the East Village  and I asked them what to do because it wasn't like he was leaving bruises but it was so wrong.    He said it really depends and if there is a police officer around than I could have asked an officer for help.

I brought up the bulldog case of the brave neighbor that filmed the horrendous abuse of this stunning bulldog and the ASPCA officer had good news for me.  He told me a fellow officer had adopted the dog and the dog is doing surprisingly well.   Below click on bottom link to read the extensive physical damage to this bulldog including being beaten until blind in one eye.   The severely abused bulldog doesn't cringe or hide but is very happy.  This poor bulldog has a  new home so thank goodness and what great joy to hear such good news and know this dog that suffered way too much in such a short time on this planet now has a loving and safe home!!

First a Giuseppi Logan update!  His gig in Phili went really well and was crowded!  I spoke to Giuseppi this morning and he was in good spirits on his way to get his flute repaired.  He realized the flute is missing a part.   I told him I would see him soon.

This wonderful woman that actually resembles Janis Joplin but asked not to have her face photographed told me about seeing Janis Joplin perform on many occasions as hitched around the USA in true hippie form.  She had even hitched a ride when she heard the news that Janis had died.  She told me once reporters surrounded her thinking she was Janis.  She told them if I was Janis why would I be hanging out with the audience before the performance.  I love the shirt!!!!!

I called Norman Siegel to tell him the good news about writing a letter for an amazing guy that helped me when I had to leave my home of 20 years and I wrote a letter on his behalf to the judge and the case was dismissed.  Norman said I am a good advocate.  I told Norman Siegel he is a great advocate.

Today I had such a beautiful and "rich" day in the East Village with even some magical unusual stories I can't tell you.  Now I have to rest.  Still feel sick and exhausted.    I just remembered to add this photo by Baron Wolman http://www.fotobaron.com/   I had the delightful pleasure of meeting him at an opening for him at Morrison Gallery and bought the first photo of the evening.  He was so down to earth and charming.  I had him tell me a Janis story.  He took this photo of her in her favorite poncho which ended up getting stolen.

The Bronx Botanical Garden -- The Orchid Show

I have still have this "flu" which includes congestion in my chest and throat but I had to get up to the Bronx for a quick visit and I did set a record for the shortest visit.  I am wiped out but how amazing to see the beauty and breathe in the luscious scents.

There seemed like an additional million and half people are visiting NYC today.  The subways were jammed packed.

What a quick treat.  Now I have to stay home and rest.

Facebook makes some small changes to discourage cyber bullying Google must do the same if not more

It is not enough but it is similar to what I have asked Google owner of blogger and YouTube to do but I called for far more serious warnings.

There are more complicated issues and that has been discussed with my lawyers.  Glad to hear Facebook has taken some steps and remember the behavior is not just a teen problem.

The accidental gov. just won't do the right thing and resign.  He has cut out his perpetual audition for Saturday Night Live but Albany not being able to attend and close the budget on time is just another horror show delivered by the clowns of Albany under Dave Paterson's lack of leadership.

No video cameras were needed after all.  Jack the Ripper of the subways, a very fragile NYer confesses and two others are being questioned.  They are at the 6th Precinct and have not been charged yet....

When the going gets rough you find out who are your friends.  I can't tell you how many people have wasted my time with words of LOVE, yes love and admiration but I found out they were not friends but users.  

Someone who went through rough times and has had a difficult life helped me in crisis.  I had to pack up my cats and my life and leave because I had to worry about my safety and he was part of group devoted to helping me.  When I found out he got in trouble I volunteered to write a letter on his behalf to the judge.

I am so happy to tell you the judge dismissed the case.

I am so thankful because this is someone who is got his life back on track and I was happy to write a letter on his behalf.

Giuseppi Logan happy - he has a gig in Phili tonight

Matt Lavelle got them work so they head out to Philadelphia tonight so Giuseppi Logan is happy.  Giuseppi is happy to be working and earning money.

I played him the new song he wrote that he named after me over the phone so he could hear his composition and he played along on his small piano he has in his sliver of a room.

His spirit is strong and he told me to take care of my health.
