I was told -- gee your wifi speed isn't offered any more so I can save you money by going for EVEN slower speed or stay at the same price for faster speed. I said no thanks.
I went to Time Warner and agreed to a limited package, channnel's 1 - 13, 21 and they thru in HBO for "free" for 100 dollars but with the fastest wifi they have. I wasn't happy but said okay only to come home and find and offer for 70 dollars a money if I got a Time Warner HBO visa card....
so that made me feel really awful about Time Warner but I felt that way anyway which is why I left being the first one in the my building to switch to FIOS.
To make matters worse I can't seem to get the password to work on my extra computers.
So I called Time Warner and held and held -- told due to unusually high volume and waited and waited on this beautiful day -- oh and did I mention the technician did not have the proper wifi so that took extra time ---
anyway I held and held.....when finally an operator got on and asked me for my telephone number and than I got disconnected!
Called back forced to listen yet against to Time Warner negotiations ---
again and again like a Kafka nightmare and in between I called Verizon and waited patiently to cancel.
Verizon wasn't interested in helping me until AFTER I disconnected so I said no thanks and FYI the middle class will continue to ask you for better deals so expect People to leave in droves.
He told me I had to return the router and I laughed. I said when I do it will be filed in the router.
It has now been 4 hours of my beautiful day trapped in my apt for Time Warner -- 100 dollars for tv I do not watch...
An additional 50 dollar bill that in 3 months I will get a gift certificate and I am told than and only than I can credit it back to my Time Warner Bill.
I asked when can't Time Warner just give me the credit up front.
I really really am disgusted with both Verizon FIOS and the crappy wifi I had along with way too high a price for way too many TV stations I did not watch.
I also just cancelled my AT&T monthly 4G on my IPad (which I some how cracked the glass and Apple offered to replace it almost for the price of a new IPad!!!!!)
You get it.
I can't wait until a company --- for now my imaginary company --- I would call "Liberty" offers us cheap close to free wifi and TV has gone the way of the dinosaurs.
I am so sick of this.
I am holding now ----and still no Time Warner Operator to help me with what should be very simple --- how to get the password in to my 2 other computers.....
is it my eye sight or what is the mystery that my extra computers reject the password.
The technician was a really nice guy but I couldn't ask him to type the password in to all my tech toys....
still waiting...
Everything in NYC is a rip-off with the top of the hierarchy making a fortune offering us crap they would never tolerate.
Will I wait and wait due to unusally high call volume Verizon did call -- oh a computerized voice from Verizon called me as I held and held for Time Warner.....wow.....
do I feel popular and ripped off every which way dreaming of enjoying some part of this sunny day.
If I told you about what is happening this am to really upset me and now the twin of that upsets re: trying to get care for someone who needs care --- just called as I hold on call 3 to time warner to get help -- it would be quicker to run out on the street and hail a Time Warner truck and ask them what am I doing wrong typing in my password.
I know Delita Hooks Dr Andrew Fagelman's violent lying receptionist almost blinded me but surely that isn't why I can't get my last tech machines up and running.....12 minutes call 3 to Time Warner...
what a waste....
Really makes you want to give up TV and huge corporations forever....
I did get the problem solved. The tech guy in my home -- I needed him to underline which set off numbers was my password. That would have prevented a lot of suffering and gobbling up my time along with him having the corrupt modem.
The guy on the phone for Time Warner was a Sweet Angel as I recited all personal info I could to get directed to which set of numbers is my password.
