Bill DeBlasio a Waste as Public Advocate?
I was sent this piece and I am posting....by the way how much do we pay DeBlasio and his large staff to not respond to New Yorkers that contact him?
I just read your Bill DeBlasio piece - it was right on key ! I really do not know what the Public Advocate does in the City he certainly does not listen or advocate for the the Public....I take it he is much like the appointed "Community Boards" who do not listen either. I emailed Mr. DeBlasio and a number of staff more than once - - - I reported serious safety issues that went unaddressed by the DOB - this group does not issue a violation without a letter or complaint - - - what did I get? NOTHING. No one there even had the common courtesy of a reply - personally, I find that repugnant and a dereliction of oath and duty and he should resign from office and put aside running for Mayor. - - - is there like a school for NYC Mayor candidates that is housed in the Bizzaro World or something ...I am reminded of the Superman Bizzaro code:
"Us do opposite of all Earthly things! Us hate beauty! Us love ugliness! Is big crime to make
anything perfect on Bizarro World!"
SOLUTION 1- terminate over paid Bill DeBlasio and his utterly useless and unresponsive "staff".
SOLUTION 2 - Issue each NYC Inspector a handheld PDF device (much like the UPS driver has) so they have access to all safety violations and licensing in real time and between each inter-agency counterpart, i.e., ECB, NYFD, DCA, Dept. of Health and NY Liquor Authority
SOLUTION 3 - Allow audio access to the publicly held ECB hearing on-line.
SOLUTION 4 - Nominate Suzannah B. Troy as Public Advocate
I take it, known of these common sense solutions will not occur and these useless community advocates will be directed by the tyrant to worry about 16 ounce versus 33 ounce soda and banning Chick-a-Fil....what a joke
