Charles Rangel in deeper trouble new ethic charges
http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/rangel_in_deeper_with_new_ethics_NN5qV3bXesmA99ZPPDytiO
I undertand Charlie Rangel did good in the past including courageous service during the Korean War but anyone who excuses his dishonest dealings is sending the wrong message and a reminder....NY spends the most money and comes in last in way too many categories from corruption, lack of voter turn out and massive debt. so all the money we are spending -- we the people of NY in taxes where is it all going?
Ditto for the MTA and a corrupt deal was done with SAIC right in front of our faces and where is Mike Bloomberg? Silent so my question is he SAIC's pimp in on the deal?
There is way too much corruption.
NYers have way too high a threshold for corruption which is greater than our tallest sky scrappers.
Unlike Miguel Martinez who is the only city council member to admit he was stealing from the get go to many act like denial is the new crack cocaine! Too many are confident they will not get caught or they will have the tax payers money to hire top defense attorneys.
Enough is enough and Charles Rangel was wrong for too long with his attitude until finally it took tears for him to own up and take some responsibility.
Last night on the subway I had to be in the midst of teens that have no sense of reading book, of respect and communication and they were only about being really loud in a way that was trying to take the entire subway car hostage so they were the last to figure out that someone was very sick and we all had to get off. When they got the cue that something was wrong they finally sobered up but of course these kids have no role models just tv and videos that glorify being rowdy and reckless and not taking responsiblity and who cares about people, who cares about anything but themselves....
It is so important to read, to use your brain, to think and to interpret and to have an understanding of right and wrong....
