Fire!!!!!! Big turn out, a lot of really nice guys because I did say hi to a few and ask some questions. No one was hurt thankfully.
Yo, I kid you not, I was going to visit a friend to get photos from the back and there is "////// ???????", assoc. editor from what newspaper (?) who clearly reads my blog quite often because the first thing he said is "I am not your stalker." He was visiting his friend, not here to catch a fire, stalk, etc. I just turned on my heels to make as much distance as possible and went to take some photos from the front of the fire so I could be around big handsome guys that I feel safe with.
The new catch phrase when people see me is "I am not your stalker" and of course you are not. You are not making judgements on my life style like some Nazi and telling me I am not from the neighborhood where my family history includes living in tenement houses in the early 1900's and being so poor they were having babies there at home. (How ironic now rich and middle class people stay at home to have babies.) And believe me, before my family who were immigrants were here I am smart enough to know there was a long history starting with the American Indians.
More sad news, some many terrible stories of people losing their housing that are not just tenant landlord issues here in NYC. And there are some good landlords that bend over backward for their tenants from what I have heard and it isn't easy because cost go up.
I am longing for a new small home with green as in greenery, grass to walk bare foot on. I wouldn't want a big house because who could afford it and you would need help trying to clean it all. I just want some peace, quiet and greenery.
That being said I love NYC. The good people just like everything in NYC are extremely good and they come from every economic strata and every background or combination there of!
