Trendy Club nabes need 'loud' control The New York Post
The article quotes Susan Stetzer the manager for Community Board 3 but does not mention her boss David McWater owns a bunch of bars including Doc Holliday which is known for it's rowdiness and even fist-a-cuffs over the years. I found some articles in the police blotter of The Villager archive and it says McWater owns 10 bars in one of them... (?).

Scott Stringer and the political powers that be do not feel this is a conflict of interest.
I call the neighborhood NYU-Las Vegas Ville.
I have contacted the city and SLA at the State Level not the community board level because I felt they were not interested in hearing anything I had to say so I stopped attending and asked for some reforms.
I suggested they post signs warning patrons of the danger of mixing legalized drugs aka prescription with alcohol because I believe more people are doing so. +There are signs warning pregnant women about the dangers of drinking so why not signs warning people of the danger of mixing drugs and alcohol? I believe more prescription drugs are being administered than ever before here in the USA and unfortunately so is the level of misuse.
I am moving as soon as possible and I won't miss the over the top construction noise that at some points was 7 days a week as NYU set a world record building the tallest most hideous mega dorm the fastest ever but I will also not miss hearing very drunk people screaming at 3, 4 or 5 am "Where did I park my car?" I won't missing the screaming. I won't miss worrying about them getting behind the wheel of their car and wondering if they are going to hurt themselves or some innocent person.
The powers that be want this area to be NYU-Las Vegas-ville, Cooper Union Town and we fight to keep it a village and put the safety of the people first before the developers and the people that would make it Las Vegas-Ville.

"At least with the drug dealers there wasn't any noise," said Frances Ayer, 47,..."
