See the comment below on Dept of investigation took out the primary contractor 911 so Hewlett-Packard could slide in with no 911 tech experience but clearly very special friends who would protect them from any criminal prosecution and pennies on the dollar payback. Verizon had to pay five times more than HP but they were at least 100 times more guilty than Verizon.

Because Rudy Giuliani did not move the command center and he had how many years to do that after the first attack downtown measures were taken to have to command centers very far apart to protect the city just in case one went out but both were built like crap because contractors were over billing and delivering crap.

I am posting from my IPhone but it sounds to me like instead political assasination, it sounds likes a biz assasination -- Hewlett Packard came in 2nd and now they got the job. I chatted with the CEO and COO of IXP and they impressed me as honest and they addressed the News Daily News comment and there was no fraud!!!! IXP met all of NYC Gov requirements to continue to be a vendor for the City except mysteriously IXP unlike Verizon was forced out and became a sub-contractor to Hewlett Packard -- because in my opinion HP was not qualified for the job! Three employees from Verizon and 2 from IXP lost their jobs because of procurement issue but Verizon was not punished like IXP was, who lost their prime vendor spot to a less qualified vendor Hewlett Packard.
