I haven't if I am
1) just too exhausted to get up and down subway stars in this...
2) terrible wet cold weather
3) now that is cold the metal feels freezing.
I am going to try and buy a plastic removable cast.
I called Bigelow's very cool medical supply store and I may buy one Monday.
I know it is taking MONTHS but the achilles tendon has a lot of scar tissue which means I am more vulnerable to tearing.
Both tendons are tender -- they have been for over 2 years and I am icing and strengthing, massaging and stretching...
My MD doesn't want me to remove the cast and walk until the swelling is completely gone...
hello that could be forever... huge difference though. My tendon was swollen 3 times the size...today just a bumped out scar tissue protusion not terrible.
