I have 3 books in the photo: Belle Moskowitz Femimine Politics and the Exercise of Power in the Age of Alfred E. Smith. Sad to say Belle died at 54...tragic.
Her male Jewish family did not get how valuable her papers and materials would become to a future audience and as I Jewish woman...sorry and sad to say I get it. I feel like I run my own mini-City Hall will not suffer fools and really greedy selfish people that take everything for granted all stratas of NYC living. I do not get paid for my work, no sick days, vacation, no pension, etc.
I suddenly figured out I am pretty good at this when I contacted the NYPD and Parks Dept. and convinced them to return smaller doors vs none in the Women's bathroom Tompkins. I inspired Harry Greenberg to create his own unique tamper proof soap dispensers because there was no money like the fancy parks and my great joy was seeing a woman in a wheelchair and her helper use the handicap toilet and close the door for some modesty.
I also got speed bumps -- I was promised 2 by DOT but I did get one for the Anna Silver School and got signs and lights timing changed to protect the kids a bit more and that was when Community Board 3 did nothing -- I did something.

6) Dear NYPD: I am one of those nerdy admirers that likes the good NYPD but I have to ask you to please identify yourself, your badge number, especially in plain clothes and which division you are from.
7) Retired cops working for billionaires and rich folks stop breaking the law.
8) Peace to the Streets immediately....now Stop the Violence and do not even think about shooting an NYPD officer. Too many have been shot, stabbed in the head by mentally ill men and the NYPD stabbed including in the eye never pulled out their guns.
