The same intersection for almost 5 years continues to break own, we have man hole covers exploding, deep holes that show the under belly of the street and large craters in the broken up street.
City wide street conditions are third world except for the bike lane and yet Bloomberg and his socialite mega-millionaire city planner Amanda The People’s Burden pushed a reckless tsunami of development.
The NY1 coverage edited it out my opinion that Cooper Union’s construction less than a block away was responsible and of course Cooper denied it!
I recently wrote the DEP commissioner about this and boy isn’t interesting no media is covering this story, not even NY1 or channel 11 who turned out 4 and half years ago when it looked like the East River came to the E. Village
What does DOT and Con Ed have to say.
I wrote Con Ed years ago and asked them to tell mayor Bloomberg to slow down with the way too rapid development and put safety first.
Again now one was killed when this most recent man hole cover exploded but this spot continues to break open and water mains are also a problem as well as street conditions.
