A member of the NYPD, Nivia Fontanez, 31, allegedly received $12,000 in health insurance benefits she wasn't entitled to before joining the force in 2008. She's been suspended from the force pending the case's outcome of the case.

An NYPD officer was charged on Tuesday with lining her pockets with thousands of dollars in illicit welfare benefits before she became a cop, officials said.

Nivia Fontanez, 31, fleeced Medicaid out of $12,000 in health insurance benefits between January 2004 and May 2008, court documents allege. She made too much money at that time to get coverage.

Two months later, she joined the NYPD and worked out of the Bronx’s 44th Precinct stationhouse. She was arraigned Tuesday on grand larceny and welfare fraud charges. She’s suspended pending the case’s outcome.

Ironic because all the corrupt politicians should be stopped and frisked because they are stealing and or abusing record number of tax dollars....

Maybe if Mike Bloomberg was stopped and frisked every day but he might consider that as close to a hug as he is going to get?

People think Mike is senile or demented....

The West Village Community Board is actually going to have a meeting May 2 and one where they are expected a large angry crowd so they are trying to accommodate the large size tomorrow but under Bloomberg we have learned a Community Board is meaningless and Bloomberg and Amanda the People's Burden along with all commissioners and commissioner Christine Quinn - hardee har  do not respect the democratic process reminder we are living in an oligarchy.

The People are furious and the I get angry telephone calls --- The People of NYC minus the rich folk are furious and counting the days until Mike Bloomberg is out of here.


The CitiBank backed bike share is another Bloomberg tech disaster although nothing can rival our 911 that it has been almost one year that John Liu requested Cy Vance begin a criminal investigation and has not.   US Attorney Preet Bharara has also not come in and taken over as he should have.

If we have a terror attack or another natural disaster our 911 Tech System will fail again and there is no Trauma Level 1 Hospital in the West Village where St. Vincent's Hospital was but  instead Rudin Luxury condos.  I guess Mike Bloomberg, Howard Rubenstein, Bill Rudin and Rosie O'Donnell and all rich folk don't need Trauma level 1 hospital, AIDS Care and A Rape Crisis Center in the West Village but the community and rescue workers do.

311 failed during Sandy.  I want a price tag on 311 another Tax payer's titanic, a record number under Mike Bloomberg.

The community does not want these bike shares that they believe Mike Bloomberg put down to further make it impossible for the middle class and small businesses to survive.

There will be more law suits and community members believe the placement not only took away what few parking spaces there were in the West Village thanks to Bill Rudin and Rudin Family Greed but there will be accidents on Greenwich Avenue because of the poor placement and such little room for traffic and pedestrians.
