There are three major trial in the Bronx (click on NYPD Dark Days) and they are not news --- they are a major scandal for the NYPD and the media depends on the NYPD for their press passes and who knows maybe a few favors?
I don't always agree with Leonard Levitt and there is something about him that is beyond annoying but I agree with him -- I too think Det. Randy Katakofsky was set-up to be shut down by Internal Affairs.
(Levitt post at the bottom -- I think we agree?)
Today I joked that if Commish Kelly gets his drones he will have a special division in Internal Affairs just to destroy all the video footage of corrupt cops caught by NYPD drones!
Randy got to the heart of corruption and laid it open.
I was telling a retired NYPD capt. expect a commission and Randy K., Adrian Schoolcraft, Det. Harold Hernandez and the capt. rattled off an entire list of names.
I just said we need a new mayor to call for the commission. The honorable Judge Mollen told me I need a mayor to appoint someone to create the commission. We know Mike Bloomberg and his mini-me Christine Quinn will prevent that from happening. I love the good NYPD but I want the corrupt culture and corrupt cops ruining it for the honest cops history asap.
Did IA leak any dirt they could try and find on Randy and it does not look like the found anything but his over time but look at it this way -- what they paid Randy in over-time is a bargain in law suits if Ramos had murdered the key witness or anyone -- so a under 100 grand over time to find the hornet's nest -- a mega artery of NYPD corruption is a bargain to what we the tax payers pay out in law suits because of corrupt cops is how I look at it.
If Det. Randy K had kept going he would have done what no one wants and that is found the Ramos types and fixing and favors that goes on in all boroughs and City Hall....sshhhhhhhh.
The NYPD and IA did not want that. I was assaulted 4 months ago and have video tape proving I was the victim and the violent medical receptionist also filed a false cross complaint and Internal Affairs tells me they are backed-up. Gee I wonder why.
Is IA backed-up because there are so many complaints or they are struggling to cover-up for so much corruption or both?
IA should have promoted Det. Randy K but shut him down. Gee I wonder why.
Excuse me but I was a supporter of the NYPD -- not any more. Why don't I have faith in Internal Affairs and the NYPD?
Is NYPD Internal Affairs goal to shut down their own investigation because a dynamic detective got to the heart and soul of the NYPD malaise and gave us a bird's eye view in to corruption including PBA officials and now IA is trying to protect "The NYPD Brand" which is worth billions of dollars and reputations and legacies are on the line?
