NY1 Terminates Camera Man -- Why? Bill Rudin Condo Protest NY1 “We Need a Hospital!”
Stay tuned -- if he is not rehired expect picketing outside NY1.
When NY1, camera man pictured on this blog was interviewing us -- I took a photo and walked over to Bill Rudin’s security guard, a retired NYPD officer -- and everyone in my email group has his name and the fact I wondered why he was attempting to hide his large frame and take a covert photo of NY1 Cameraman inteviewing us.
I asked him why do that when I posted everything to my blog.
I couldn’t help wonder if he alerted Bill Rudin and than Bill calls his public relations Mr. Fix Howard Rubenstein.
It would be quite a New York Story if this news reported was fired because NY1 did not want the story of protestors outside Bill Rudin’s sales office reported. Is that why other reporters from outlets that Rubenstein lists as clients did not show up. Where reporters afraid of termination?
Stay tune....we all wrote Shannon Troetel and Bernadine Han of NY1 alerting them that this honest and good camera man who works for NY1 did not stage us. It was distracting however with Bill Rudin’s private security, retired NYPD officer shadowing us and photographing etc. so I did have to wander away to confront him.
NY1 is they had any concerns never contacted us or returned to cover our protest...hmmm like they didn’t want to cover the protest for some reason and we have some insights in to why....NYC politics.
Folks covering a protest demanding a full service hospital for the West Village -- that serves the community -- actually a group of people beyond including tourists, anyone from 57 street to battery on the west side is an issue. Imagine how many people the camera man can get to testify on his behalf. So many people’s lived were saved at St. Vincent’s and they would be happy to testify on his behalf this was an important story that should have run....they talk to us every day when they pass us and can confirm we were not staged.
Are they going to apologize and re-hire this good camera man or is this going to become a civil matter?
Stay tuned...

Anyone following my blog knows about the passage from the Bloomberg bio re: Rubenstein and owners of media outlets and their decision Mike would have his third term. Remember how all voices in opposition were silenced by the press. There are articles about this like Bloomberg’s Bubble Burst and reminder all my YouTubes were removed before the election and Google apologized and returned my work. Norman Siegel contacted Google on my behalf as did so many bloggers, activists also film makers.
Note: I did a series of blog posts on NY1 and censorship and how they killed the story and at 11PM after speaking with their guy that answers the phone that night I washed my hands of NY1 deleting them from Iphone. Discussed was do we include NY1 in future Occupy Wall Street info and I said no -- at least for me I will never ever contact NY1 except on behalf of this good man getting his job back.
If he sues I will be in court testifying for him and assisting his legal case as well as organizing protests outside NY1 hopefully with some Occupy Wall Streeters.
