GVSHP, the Community Action Alliance on NYU 2031, Greenwich Village Block Associations, the Bowery Alliance of Neighbors, and more than a dozen community groups from the West Village, East Village, South Village, Union Square, and Chelsea will be cosponsoring a Town Hall on the Massive NYU Expansion Plan. The Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, January 4th, 6:30 p.m. at the AIA Center for Architecture, 536 Laguardia Place (Bleecker/west 3rd Street). The purpose of the Town Hall will be to mobilize the public and and let you know how you can fight the NYU plan.   GVSHP has poured through NYU’s application materials and found stunning images of the overwhelming massiveness of the new structures NYU would build if given the zoning changes, public land, and urban renewal deed restriction exemptions they are seeking.
