Larry Flynt’s Autobiography vs. Michael Moore's

I had to put Michael Moore’s autiobiography down for Larry Flynt’s.

Larry is far more the emotional nudist -- naked and out there in his tell all and you know he ain’t telling it all but what a book.  It is hard to read.   He lost his little sister at a young age and he suffered a lot including being suckered by women until he changed his strategey towards women and talk about being a hustler from business to women.

You all know I am reading him because you say Larry Flynt and the next words you will hear are 1st Amendment rights. 

The book is hard reading much more for the emotional content although he did not mean it to be so it is for me and what he did to a chicken -- it involves sex -- was awful although not unusual in those times in areas where live stock were available....  His intensely alcholic father had him kill a cat as well.  Need I say more?


I want to get through this book if I can because Larry Flynt’s book has captured me interest.

The New York Times, The NY Post which had a cover recently comparing the Dow to a hooker’s underpants going down with great frequency -- well their coverage of the Slut Walk protesting rape and violence towards women made Larry Flynt look like a feminist.

Sad stuff and of course I am angry but Larry also has caught my attention because he had these amazing legal battles.  The way he told off judges was mind blowing...most especially the judge he told you had nothing intelligent to say the entire trial!  AMAZING.

I watched the movie on HBO Go and the book is better than the film.

I am stunned at the way Larry Flynt runs these ads to pay a million dollar for dirt on dirty politicians.

I really an intrigued but it is painful reading and I do want to plow through and read something more peaceful.

I also started the Michael Moore book Here Comes Trouble.    Larry knocks Michael to the ground on dealing with child hood problems....but I will go back -- I paid a lot of money -- I want to read what Moore has to say.  Moore has made big bucks....it is funny to see very, very rich celebrities run down to Occupy Wall Street -- Susan Sarandon -- I profoundly do not like her and feel she is a big phony -- including her looks -- if I had her money I might do what she does but I would put it on the blog so no one would compare themselves to me without knowing all the $$$$ I spent to look younger.  Than there is Russell Simmons and than Michael Moore is promised to send money from St. Marks Book sales to Occupy Wall Street.

The big difference between Playboy and Penthouse is they were selling a dream -- while Larry was selling no penthouses or luxury player living but hustling with irreverent humor that perhaps Howard Stern was influenced by and Flynt was selling a focus on vaginas down to the petals which he felt working class men wanted to see.
